Senior Night @ Pike Central.
Both teams are coming off losses, P-Burg lost their district championship game to Leslie County 28 - 19. Pike Central lost their district championship game to Belfry 52 - 20.
Should be a interesting test for both teams heading into the playoffs.

As was mentioned previously, both are coming off loses and it should be a good game.
I think Prestonsburg will prevail by a td. But as has been said many times on this venue, "anything can happen on a give Friday night."

Pike Central wins this one. Senior Night & this will be a very emotional night for Boggs & company. These boys are going to be playing with a lot of emotion & coming off the Belfry loss plus being loaded with seniors & juniors, I think they will definitely be ready to play Friday night.

Pike Central will rebound with Prestonsburg coming to the Hawks Nest on Friday..#5 Pugh will be expected to play Vs a good Pburg team, Hawks will continue to grow and build for a playoff run deep into the post season.. The Hawks will not overlook this Pburg team, but will work on whats needed to prepare for round #1 Vs Magoffin County at the Hawks nest! Breathitt will be round two, if the Hawks don't stumble, Belfry should have Jackson County round #1, then a possible rematch with LC at Cam, pending injury, and good play from Belfry, and Pike Central, there could possibly be a rematch between the Pirates and Hawks at Cam .....What changes will be made for that match up? We'll see Go Hawks!

Hope im wrong but PCC wins this one at home. Pburgh keep your head gear on tight PCC will take a dirty cheap shot punch to the face if they can! #56 is a coward and should not get to play another game for what he done to Justin Johnson.

I'd like to see Pburg win this, but they haven't given me the impression that they're serious about winning this year. If they don't change, Pburg lays down and makes like a door mat. Please prove me wrong.

Hawks will be ready. Pburg could not stop them last year this year will be the same. Smith is running very good right now. Boggs is doing his thing . Shouse enough said.Pugh is having a great year and so is Hopkins.This is a real good football team better then last years jmo

Hawks should win with not many struggles, but anything can happen. I'm a fan of Pike Central football although I'm not from Pike County. But I'm not a huge fan of the coach.

Should be a good game. P-Burg has been sputtering lately, mostly in clutch situations. Their defense needs to step up and help the offense out on occasion.

I've heard that Pike Central WR Wes Pugh is likely doubtful for this game come Friday night.
Pugh is obviously PC's biggest deep threat, so PC will have to spread it around to Justin Smith, Robbie Hopkins & Cory Shouse this time around.
Hopefully Wes gets healthy enough in time for the playoffs.

I think you will see a different Blackcat team this Friday vs last week, as our leading rusher & tackler returns (Kain Collins). Pike Central no doubt has the fire power to keep this game close, and i feel they will. It will be a shootout.
If Crisp spreads the ball around & not try & force passes to Jamerson in double & triple coverage P'burg could win this game by 2 scores. If we see what we seen in the Leslie Co. game the Hawks could win by 2-3 scores (trying to force feed Jamerson). We need to get everyone involved in the passing game & the double & triple coverage on Jamerson will have to drop off.
On a side note though if we dont start rapping up on the run on D we could be in for a long night. We have been in position all year to stop the run, but poor tackling has killed us.
For those of you looking for a coaching change after the Leslie Co game is pathetic. I dont think the Derosetts threw 4-5 picks in that game nor did they miss any tackles. Play calling may be suspect at times, but thats why they are on the sidelines & we are in the stands. It's a whole lot easier to coach & call plays in the stands.

No, Coach Smith is no longer at Pike Central.
He took the Tolsia, WV head coaching job this past off-season.
His son Channing walked on at Marshall University.
