I know grant didn't do so well this year but if they have anything, it has to be their running back. I really like this kid. He runs hard despite the score and he seems to have a lot of ability. He has my respect. But congrats to Cooper for the district title. Much impressed.

He is a nice RB, especially when he runs the draw or on screens. He does need to cut down on his fumbles though. I think their new weight room will pay dividends. Since the school started their football program, around 20 yrs ago, they NEVER had a weight room that you could actually could benefit from. They had 1 squat rack, some free weights and 2 or 3 machines available for bench presses. The administration started a football program but never gave them the tools to be successful. The Boosters have stepped up and bought the boys a bunch of new weight machines and they are going to start lifting sooner and harder then they ever have in the past.
They are only loosing 5 seniors and they will have their first full off season weight program with the new coach. Most improvement in a new system happens between the 1st and 2nd season. Remember this coach was short handed all year because of an apathetic administration. The head coach only had 3, yes I said 3, assistant coaches this year. You know why most schools have 6+ assistant coaches, because they need them. But for some reason this admin. thinks you can do it with 3. Hopefully this changes next year, because if the basketball team only had 1/2 of the needed assistants, there would be such an uproar that the admin. would make sure the coach has everyone he needs. Not one person from the administration or board office was there to congratulate the 20 Seniors from the Band, Cheerleading and Football teams on Senior night last Fri. So much for putting the students first and recognizing their accomplishments.
I believe given a full compliment of assistant coaches, their first year head coach will find out who wants to play next year and you only wants to dress out. I hope the boys who are there stick with it when they get pushed in the weight room this winter because it will pay off. Good luck to the Braves in the upcoming years because they will turn it around, especially if the admin. steps up and does it's job.

I'd like to see Grant turn things around down there. For having a new coach and running a new offense, they seem like they can move the ball pretty well. Defense could really step up though but with the weight equip they should be able to start building a program. IMO
