PHSForever Wrote:I think you mean Hillard Howard. Dudley Hilton has only been at UPike 6 games, and before that was an icon on Log Mountain. And, for the record, this thread is about Haywood. Let's save the comparisons for what Hillard did with what he had versus Haywood for another thread. Irregardless of my distaste for Belfry, I very much respect what they have accomplished, and what Haywood has accomplished. Let's not let comments on this thread detract from the congratulations he deserves here. Either congratulate him here, or if you don't think he deserves it, hold your tongue and say something on another thread instead.
You deteriorate my resolve, not to change topics, but to add to the current one. I assure you I know who I am talking about, without any disrespect intended.

I'm very proud to be part of the record (84-88). Congrats Coach Haywood!

I apologize, I thought you were talking about Dudley Hilton. I just figured out you meant Hillard Howard. Hilliard was great with three State Championships, but this thread is about Coach Hayward. He is the best known for being classy and a role model unlike any other. He is a very humble man considering his accomplishments. He has been the pride of the mountains for a long time.

I was talking about Hilton. Why, simple: He would still be adding the W's if he had not left Bell. Now attempting to take a College Program to new heights, he moved on to bigger and greater challenges. I agree that Haywood is a legendary coach and one of the best in the state, I just feel he wouldn't have this record if not for Hilton.

You should start a new thread about how much better you think Hilton is than Hayward. We are on this one to honor Coach Hayward and his six trips to the carpet and what a great man he is. This is my last post to you about this subject. No disrespect to Bell Co.

what is your problem? Normally your posts are not as arrogant as you've been over the past few days. You know Coach Haywood deserves respect so why are you slinging so much "disrespect"? Honestly, I'm shocked!!!

Nono, I would agree with you completely, and there is no disrespect intended, purely logic. I love Coach Haywood, he was by far the best coach I've ever had. He deserves this more than anyone.

This is Philip Haywood's day, let us celebrate and congratulate him for his accomplishments, not compare him with someone else, nor with their accomplishments.
