Philip Haywood...KY ALL TIME WINS LEADER!irateSho An honor fit for one of the greatest men in the game of High School Football and the epitome of class.
Pirates rush for a country mile, PC's offense has plenty of success, but costly turnovers doom them in the end.
Belfry does what a great team should, they punished PC for making mistakes. PC is a very dangerous team if they can play a clean game and may give Breathitt a run for their money in the 2nd Round.
Huge night from Dixon and Willis... Pirate D gets the stops when they need them. Good luck to PC in the playoffs...

and yet Chapman again shows his classlessness. he had his boys run off the field without shaking hands.

wow, not a very classy move from the PCC coach, takes his team off field and dont shake hands,no wonder no one likes him, very bad attitude..

Thanks for bringing the game online, even until the official end!

As for John Chapman....well...lets just say I can't wait until he slithers to his next hole. Totally classless move to not even go and shake Haywood's hand. I am very happy PC has a competitive football program, I just wish it would be with a HC who would show his kids how to do it the "right way".

I guess it's tough when you are handpicked by the Pike Co. BOE(aka Wagner) to complete one goal, beating Belfry, and you have failed miserably in that task. I usually dont get happiness from someone elses demise but it couldnt happen to a bigger jerk.

Anyone at the game who can speak to Chapman's behavior? WTH?
I am not a guy to start stuff, and I encourage everyone to check out my posts in the past. I can only hope Chapman asking his team to leave the field without shaking hands was a tribute instead of a dis to Coach Haywood... As I think about it, I could see where that really would be a respectful move if that is what was intended... to sorta just take his guys in and give the moment to Haywood. If that is what was intended, I get it and think it makes alot of sense.
If he just tooks his guys off without shaking hands cause they lost... I'll leave it to others to critique that.

Congrads to Coach Haywood he has been a winner from way back in his days at Pburg and took it all to another level with the Pirates.

What a class act. Far as I am concerned Pikeville High School got the best end of the deal getting Coach Mac and PC getting Chapman. Pitiful. He is no way, shape, or form does anything remotely close to preparing these kids for life beyond football. Congrats to Belfry and Coach Haywood. Way to give PC a dose of reality.
Here it is:
Quote:IMO, no. Chapman is a poor character individual with a great football mind. He is always rude to the media, does not follow up on his graduated guys, and hates Belfry (not just on a rival level). I wouldn't be surprised if he is off the field before the game is over if it is well in hand.

Congrats Pirates.
Big Congrats to Coach Haywood. Haywood is a class act.

I could see where you would hope the former is the reason but rest assured it was the latter. Anyone who has had the unfortunate opportunity to speak with or just be in the company of Chapman can vouch for his horrible horrible attitude. Add to that his unmatched hate for Belfry and his actions could be forecasted before this game even kicked off.

For a bunch of people who have wanted it to be " Haywood's Night"...you would think they would be smart enough to know that PC left to give the entire spotlight to Haywood. Get over yourselves and quit trying to create drama. It was Haywood's night and deserved to be his field at the end. Get a clue!

I think Coach Haywood has been a winner since even before he played or coached football. He's an extraordinary individual.

If you actually believe this then you may be the most gullible person Ive ever encountered............that or your Chapman's family and that would suck and I apologize.

Way to go Pirates and WOW Coach Haywood you are the man.:1:
Central keep your head's up because you are a very good team. It's just too bad that your head coach is a piece of trash.
Good luck in the playoffs and hopefully we'll get to watch this game again in about 4 weeks at the CAM!
GO BIG RED!!!!!

look... i really did post it to give Coach Chapman the benefit of the doubt. Not because I know the guy or have some reason to believe that is what actually happend, but frankly because THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD EXCUSE HIS BEHAVIOR.
For anyone who isn't a Belfry fan or Pike Central fan, how else could you explain not saying "good job" to the coach who just set the all time high school wins record?
I mean ??? I don't even know what else makes sense to say
