Glasgow 14 Somerset 7

Final. Jumpers have to find some offense, their defense can play with anybody.

Nice quality win for Glasgow!

I would consider this an upset.

Glasgow was ahead of Somerset in a few 2A polls. Still, I expected Somerset to win this one. Five turnovers for Somerset I think. Only TD came off a Storm Wilson kick return on the opening kick of the 2nd half. Glasgow was much bigger and faster than Somerset, but if the Jumpers execute they win this one IMO. Glasgow protected the ball and grinded it out, they deserve this win.

Another one that I missed. After the 3-0 start for the Jumpers, the 2 game losing streak has to be a cause for concern

I think Somerset has some offensive concerns to figure out. Even though the losing streak is only 2, they've had poor offensive output the last three. Their defense gave them opportunities tonight, but their only score came on a KO return at the beginning of the 2nd half.

I figured there would be more points scored in this game...guess not.

Congradulations to the Scotties on a hard fought win. Its your year for a championship game spot.

Comgrats Glasgow. I thought for sure that Somerset would pick it up this week.

Glasgow has a very nice team, probably the best of the 3 very good teams that the Briar Jumpers have played the last 3 weeks. That said this is a game that the Briar Jumpers should have won. The defense played great. Holding the Scotties to 14 points while dealing with 5 turnovers speaks volumes to that. The offense ran the ball pretty well but the 5 interceptions were killers and a dropped touchdown pass didn't help any either. The real killer was an interception on 2nd and 5 from the Glasgow 13 yard line in the 4th quarter. I really thought that Somerset would try to power it in from there but instead went back to the pass. The defense improved a bunch from last week, hopefully the offense is able to get it together next week against Whitley County. Good luck to the Scotties they could very well represent the west in the 2A finals this season.

Well I arrived to this one at half time and probably stuck out like a sore thumb in my maroon shirt. From what I was told is was a back and forth game in the 1st Half. First play I got to see was Storm Wilson returning the kickoff for a TD at the beginning of the 2nd Half which gave the Briar Jumpers the lead 7-6. Unfortunately, that was about the only bright spot for the offense the entire game. It's kind of hard to win a game when you have 7 turnovers 5 of which coming via interception. Glasgow looks like a really good team. #15 for Glasgow is a man-child!! He was the one that got the interseptoin to seal the deal at the end of the game. I was told that #15 for Glasgow is going to UK, is there any truth to this??

Congrats Scotties!!

Yes, Glasgow's big TE/LB has offers from UK, U of L, Marshall, etc.

SEVEN turnovers? Seven. Seven? Somerset can't beat ANYONE on their schedule with seven turnovers.

Somerset needs a cupcake game. Their schedule is tough!

Congrats to Glasgow.
