Lexington Catholic 71 Shelby Valley 55
#1
Tough loss for the Cats. I had picked to pull out with the win. Heard it was a close game untill the second half when they weren't able to hit the three.
Anyone have stats?
#2
All I can say is OUCH !!!
#3
Closer than i thought it would be.
#4
i am still waiting on alfus to respond....

Lexy Cath, is an out of the region team. Some will say this game don't matter.
#6
Well I mean c'mon if you hold this game against SV then that's crazy. For a 15th region team to stay within this distance of Lex Cath is great. Congrats Valley on a good showing.

I don't know what you're waiting on Basketball only fan?
haha..Lex. Cath blew out Lex Christian by like 20 and Lex Christian beat SF by 35..Imagine what Cath. would have done to Floyd...

It was a good showing for the cats in the 1st half, but they just went cold in the 2nd....

Im not mad though...Nobody else in the 15th could do any better

I watched Lex Cath play Bishop Brossart in Dec and to be honest they really are not the Cath of old BB beat them by 8 but game really was never in doubt. And then Hazard destroyed BB in the All A.

So Hazard may be a bigger Dog than we all thought.

i am just saying you talk like SV cant be beat... i guess on any givin night anyone can lose... even SV, even SF, paintsville, pikeville, anyone can be beat on any night by any team, that is somethin you should try to remember
#11
when it comes to mountian teams playing teams from away from here, i am always for the mountian teams 100%. i just think alfus talks, SV is the best team in the history of basketball....just the same as people from SF talk on here like they are the best. I will say if SV is on a good night, they can beat SF, can you say the same if SF is on a hot night like they was tonight against AC then they could beat SV??
#12
Shelby Valley should have won this game. Lexington Catholic is nowhere near the team they were last year and Valley hung with that team. Valley had everybody back and Catholic had none of their big guns back and was ahead by the upper 20s and Valley cut the lead on the subs. Valley is nowhere close to the team they were last year.
#13
All i can say is i saw this one coming

but good game for Valley their still fine lol

sorry beef, i just was tryin to point out that on any night, any team win or lose, no matter what there record is.

Blind pigs find acorns!
Dog have their day.
Records mean nothing!
I still think SV's best team was the one that "lost" to AC in the Regional.

You may not mad but you seem to bitter.
I can understand why you are constantly being able to manhandle tradional powers like Piarist or playing Mt. Mission on parent night.
Then when when you think you smell "some" your manly pair come to life only realizing you came out of your on back yard to get a "proper dose"
that turned your pair into mincy little things that shrival up and fade away.

I like your kind "shifting it " to someone else, because you can't handle your own failures, reminds me a little boy waiting for the tooth fairy.

The "traditional powers" have to play someone too! For the most part, you don't find many games like that on Valley's schedule. How about Rockcastle, Hazard, PCC? Pretty good teams and Valley came away with the W. I would hardly consider Valley a failure.
#20
no one said they was a failure, just that like any other team, on any givin night, they can be beaten.

Valley has a new coach and they don't have Kiser now. This game was also played at Lex Cath, last year Valley had the home court advantage. Lex Cath has been playing very good ball lately and the Wildcats don't have anything to be ashamed of.

Right now Hazard Rockcastle and PCC would beat Shelby Valley with ease.

Good game for valley. I expected to see a lose here but its always good to see a 15th region team represent well no matter who it is. But, I couldnt tell you if hazard, rockcastle, or pcc could beat valley right now. Thats a game that we would have to see. But, who cares? Neither of these teams are going to win state so why does it even matter? Hazard last year got upset when they were the best. Sometimes things just dont people's way. The point here is that valley played their hearts out and did what they could still to lose by 10+. Couldn't ask for more. "We never lost, we just ran out of time". Vince Limbarti (or however your spell his last name)...

lol...Thanks, That was the dumbest thing I've ever read in my entire life...But some what facetious to the point that it made you look dotterel....It was so completely unavailing and useless that I dont know what to say..

I didn't fail at anything Mr. Turkish. If anybody failed at something it was you trying to make me look stupid with your preposterous, somewhat absurd, and most specifically ludicrous in more ways than I can point out at the time...

and to think, he had to read the whole dictionary to get that post in....

I was thinking then same thing BasketBallonlyfan, it reminded me of a conversation between Cosell and Dennis Miller.

IMO Alfus21 you did that to yourself.
Get back on the subject of the game

Kiser leaving doesnt mean anything and to b honest with you this is a better Valley team w/o Kiser. A new coach Booher is a horible coach if you ask me he came into a program that was built around and established by Mr. Rodney Rowe one guy that the Valley nation should have never let go of. So when you talking about Kiser and a new coach all you have is to blame the adminestration.

Ashamed-No they have no reason to be ashamed but you dont need ppl on here saying other teams are bad for Valley's loss Alfus you should just take your beating like a man suck it up and get over it. I mean Pikeville's girls demolished ours and i didnt sit here and find some way some how to make my team look better than everyone elses. Valley can b beaten by anyone point blank its all she wrote and if they do then they do.

The funny thing is I don't give a crap about this loss at all, and you people are putting words in my mouth making it sound like Im upset...I don't really care.....They can be beaten easily, especially outside of the region...It's not a big deal...
