Did anyone really expect a different outcome? I expect more of the same next week against LSU.

LSU probably won't score at will like Florida did.
On a Positive note we have a very good group of running backs. But we have to quit the mistakes.

As for LSU, there offense may not score at will like Fla, but there Defense might score at a record setting pace against this RIDICULOUS excuse of an offense!!! We have no playmakers anywhere in uniform on either side of the ball with the exception of (Danny Trevathan) and one legitimate SEC player cannot keep a team competitive in the SEC!!!

And again, Joker is the one in charge of this Complete mess of an SEC program, he is in WAY over his head!!! He is prob a nice guy and loves UK football and all, but that doesnt make him a legitimate SEC coach!!! Plain and Simple

I think the over/under on UK turnovers will be 4. Joker had them clicking on all cylinders they found new ways to turn the ball over and drop passes. After watching Paintsville last nite I think Kinner must have went to Joker's coaching clinic.

Cant wait for Joker and Newton to be gone.
Then i can start watching again.

I have criticized Newton quite a bit, I am gonna ease up on him and turn the heat up on the WR's and TE's. What was there, 7 or 8 drops?

Yeah, people can say what they want bout Newton but the receivers have to start catching the ball. There were several balls that were perfectly thrown that my 4 year old could have caught.

52 straight losses to Florida and Tennessee. You yUcKster's should be ashamed.

About the game in general; Perry Central, playing the way they did Friday, could have at least played UK competitive tonight

You watching the West Virginia game, bro?

LSU will beat them worse then florida did!! LSU has the 2nd best defense in the nation very closely behind alabama.

LSU just pounded you as bad as Florida did us.

You could have Tom Brady and this team would still suck. CATCH THE BALL!

No, we just got down early, made a run late, but the KO return killed us. I am not nearly as embarrassed to see us get our butts kicked by a very good LSU team to losing to a 4 win Pitt team in 07 with a shot to go to the BCS title game.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

I can agree with that.
However, as a whole we suck.
Im all for cancelling the rest of the season

I think Kentucky should move to a different conference maybe the big east or the southern conference they dont have a chance against the big boys

Newton was one of the most dominant high school players that I have seen play. He enrolled at UK with SEC talent and if he is not an SEC caliber player, then blame Joker and the rest of the coaching staff for not developing that talent. This UK team would make any quarterback look like a no talent bum.

It's going to be a long, LONG season for us.
09-25-2011, 10:31 AM
Well, there were two very positive things that I saw
1. Cats scored
2. Cats held the Gators to less than 50

Final score says it all.

What kills me the most is the conservative play calling. What does UK honestly have to lose? Look at the passing numbers from yesterday, Newton averaged 4.8 yards a completion & Smith averaged 4.7. UK doesn't take any chances downfield whatsoever.
We run a pro-style offense with players who just aren't talented enough to be successful at running. Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, etc have the talent to be successful with the pro style, but UK doesn't. The spread would be the best offense for this group and it's exciting for the fans to watch also, but UK's coaches are too stubborn to do anything different. We've ran the same plays for 8 years and we've had one truly good season out of it and we had several NFL players on that team. If my 6-year old nephew can tell you what UK's next offensive play is going to be, then you know the opposing defensive coordiantors know also.
Majority of the fans know that this is going to be a very long season and one that may draw the final straw for Barnhart & Phillips.

Barnhart should have been shown the door when Billy Gillispie was fired - if not sooner.

I agree.
Barnhart has done better with other sports at UK, but the major sports would be crap if he wasn't forced to take actions.
Barnhart loved Tubby, who got us wins, but never made any runs in the NCAA tournament. Then he hires Gillispie, who was an alcoholic golfer that had a bad attitude and treated the players like crap. He would've never hired Calipari if he wasn't pretty much forced to do. He didn't fund enough $$$ into the football program, so UK hasn't been able to make the move forward in competiting yearly with other SEC teams.
UK is a basketball school, but we have a very eager fan base that wants to be good at football too. Is that really too much to ask?

Agreed.
The money is there why not spend it on a good coach.

That was idiotic and idiots should not be managing huge budgets that are publicly funded. No contract. No pay. C'ya. That would have been the proper way to have handled the Gillispie fiasco.

Thats a joke right? The old fellers in charge of the athletic department use football to make money to spend on their precious Basketball program. I love UK basketball but I hate the way that it takes precedent over everything else. The football team brings in alot more money than basketball yet when they wanted new scoreboards they had to ask for outside interests to pay for it. The University will not support this program that is why no big name players will come to Kentucky. It isn't the coaches fault it is the University. It has always been this way. The fans don't help how the hell are we supposed to get a big name football player to not go to Florida or alabama when they get on websites like this and see people posting that they can't wait for basketball season, or it Is time to cancel the schedule, or any stupid shit like that. THIS IS KENTUCKY FOOTBALL. not basketball we have never had big time success at least not since the 50's yet you guys act like we should be in a position to win the toughest conference in all of sports. You cannot stress how tough this schedule is for a team with Little depth. Next week we have LSU, the best damn team in the country at their house which is the toughest place to play in the country. The we go to South Carolina who is the most talented team in our division. I honestly would like to see how many "big time" programs outside of this conference have a schedule as tough as ours, yet you guys say it should be tougher. I swear we have to have the most blind to the obvious fanbase in sports, We lose 99.999% of our offense yet we are still supposed to score at will on people. We have an offensive line that has been plagued by injury problems yet, they are supposed to play in mid season form. We have a young receiving corp yet, they are supposed to play perfect. We have all new backs, yet they are supposed to get a 80 yard touchdown every play. We have a damn good quarterback who will start in the NFL one day yet according to posters on here he is terrible. Yeah I can see pretty easily why no big name player would go to Kentucky, Crappy facilities (other than the weightroom), A school that could care less, and the least knowledgeable fanbase in all of college football who can't seem to realise that This is a program building talent for the future, not a team that has won 5 straight SEC titles. I'll never forget last year when everyone said how bad a recruiting class we had, When it was the best one this school has ever had. That pretty much says it all.
