Been to the playoffs at least, and won more games than you all in the playoffs. Watering down of classes cuts both ways, remember? You all don't have to contend with Highlands, Trinity, St. X, etc. anymore either. THAT was my point. Like I said, don't have a dog in this fight, good luck to ya. Hope the Copely koolaid tastes better down there.

Rams in a close one. 21 - 14

This forum wasn't made for childish crap! I am a true Raceland fan and hope to win Sat. and after the game I hope we win, but if we lose; I hope greenup the best rest of the season, the kids have went through enough over the years of drama with parents and distractions. Any time a school in our area does good makes me proud.

Thanks dad.

First of all I find it hard to believe that abunch of jerk fans from a (perinnial whipping boy) 4A school (yes a "4A" school) have resorted to picking on the fan of a fairly decent 1A school who does very well in their class and at least manages better than just a winning record every year. How does gc compete in their class on a yearly basis. As a matter of fact I believe you can check my math, but gc has only lost 80 games in the last 12 years. Wow,that has to be a record of some sort. Continue loosing at that rate and in 3 more years you will hit the century mark. So ,really guys,to resort to what you have is disgusting. I can't take any of you guys serious on here anymore. Grow up,get a life and a football team and leave others alone. And,even if you do beat the Rams,my God,you're supposed too, you're 4A! Honestly, you sound to me like a bunch of high schoolers that wait out in front of the middle school to pick on the 7th graders. Straighten up guys and maybe the rest of us will take you seriously. RAMS BY 7!!!! GO RAMS!!!!

We've got a plethora of panties in a wad now don't we? Pikeville, Raceland, and where ever in the universe you can find a lion, Lewis? Boyd? Both suck holes.

Go Muskies!!

We have a state runner up when there was 4 classes. What do you have? A field with no corners. Congrats.

Lets see now. Its watered down and where do you guys end up each year. Last isn't it. Impressive runnerup. One year about a thousand years ago. Talking this century. When was the last time g. c. won a playoff game?
Have you won a watered down playoff game. What year?

Your right Bears Boy. The admin and coaching staff at Greenup Co High School did an outstanding job by moving the game to saturday. Hats off to that staff.
Thank you so much Adminstration and coaching staff! Good job!

2007 we won 2, lost by a point in the reg champ game. any more questions? P.S. we didnt start this. I simply corrected a post that said we would make it 2 in a row. we made it 2 in a row last season. That was it, then the "proud one" went off on me.

Good sportsmanship.......Think the game change has something to do with referee scheduling conflicts... Just sayin

There's no need for violence. Can't we all just get along?

That year greenup co's record WAS 3-7 going into the playoffs.
You beat Boyd Co 5-7 and Rowan Co 2-9. Woho!! Greenup co ended up 5-8.NICE! Talk about watered down!!
Greenup Co is 7-4 vs the Rams this century. Gooood job.
Greenup Co's record this century is 48-72.
Greenup Co has had 2 winning seasons this century. 2000--7-4 and 2006--6-5.
If you want I can count the numer of 4A teams you have beaten this century. Don't know if I need both hands though. 7 of the 48 was from us. That leaves 41. How about Ironton St Joe. Smallest school in Ohio playing football. That accounted for a few more.
When you start beating the teams you should be beating. Come back. Beat Johnson Central, Ashland, Rowan Co, Mason Co. Those schools where they have perfect roads and don't have to travel three hours to practice. Plow through snow storms ect. We have a couple Greenup Co kids that live way out. But they seem to make it.
I do know a little about traveling though. In 1994 we were living in Rush. I took my kids to Raceland everyday of school till they graduated 1995. Had to get them in a school where you could get education and of course play football. The school where they should've gone was something like what the Greenup Co school system is like right now! I love my kids way to much for that!
Psst: If you don't think you started this. You may want to look at your earlier post....
I do hope both teams play their best and it's a great game.
And again I would like to thank the school adm. and the coaching staff of GC for letting the game be moved to saturday. Our kids needed that day. We'll see how they react to the situation!

I say we take a few GC people out behind the wood shed Saturday Night and open up a can on them. It don't matter to me.

Oh, you might be able to make it to the woodshed, but once you got there, in typical Raceland fashion, you couldn't close the deal.

I'm going to steal a line from another poster here....

"Ah, boys"

Seriously, y'all are making me miss the Lawrence County baseball posters, almost. And they are really bad sometimes.

I went back thru the KHSAA stats, and it looks like Raceland has pretty much owned GC over the last 10 years or so. A few far in between wins by GC, but mostly all Raceland in the series. I think there's a little bit of jealousy there, Rambait, so just try to block it out. Confusednicker:

To be honest PHSForever. They have a 7-4 edge on us the past seven years. I think we won four in a row. Now they are on a two game winning streak. Most GC fans are good. But like everywhere you get a few bad apples. This is a big rival game. 1A vs 4A. But we like it like that. We don't mind picking on big brother! If you look at ppg on offense and defense the past ten years we win on both. They seem to win in close games 9-6 and 14-13. But when we win it's by bigger margins. Except for last year. They beat us by 30. Thanks for the support. Good luck friday. We will be listening for your score!

It's all in fun. We've had a tough few weeks here in Ramland with a Raceland family getting hit by a MAC truck sitting at a redlight, a JFL kid being airlifted to the hospital and 2 deaths in the Ram family within a couple days of each other. I will be happy that our kids come out and compete and play hard saturday night.

Ooops, I was looking at a different team. Yep, they are up 7-4 over the past 11 years. My apologies. But good luck, wish both teams an injury free and hard fought game! We will definitely be listening for your score as well.

If you don't mind me asking, I heard about Elkins' father. Who was the other death around Raceland? I had heard from my mom about a JFL kid breaking his femur, same kid?
I hope things get better within the Ram community.

Actually there has been 3 deaths in the Football family. Morgan Elkins, Another players grandmother and a coaches grandfather both passed on the weekend during Mr Elkin's funeral. So yes it has been a tough time here in RamLand. Good things to come, tempers are calm and players are players.... God bless the families and friends in our community, there were over 1,000 people at the service on Monday for about 6 hours straight. It shows how well our community supports each other and why it is a great place to raise a family.

You really take yourself seriously don't you? Look, I hope that GC wins, and all of this junk is in good fun. I feel for that community and their loss. I hope that the kids get a break from it out there this weekend. Maybe just a small break, but some relief just the same.

OU812 I love it. When all said and done. I'd set with any of you guys and eat a meal or watch a game. It's just rivalry. I'm the type of person who could argue with someone one minute and when it's over shake their hand and go out and have fun the next. I never get mad on here. But I do love to rattle some. I love to fact check what people say. I sure hope we win. But more then that I just hope it's a great game and all are healthy at the end.
