Shelby Valley 8, Belfry 6 (JV)
#1
Saw that no one had posted this score from Monday night.

Was a good defensive game, each team had only one TD, but Belfry missed their conversion and Valley made theirs, thus the 2-point win.

Congrats Cats.

Good job by Shelby Valley!

I am curious who suited up for Belfry and played where? I doubt seriously Soph. Sani Warren played QB - since he starts at CB on Varsity. Who played for the Pirates?

Not sure. To be honest, I couldn't even tell you who played for Valley, much less for Belfry.

The truth is I wasn't even there specifically to watch this particular game. I was just there because my kid's grade school team was having practice that same evening, and I didn't even know about this game until we got there and saw the Belfry JV kids walking around. My son's team ended up practicing down beyond the end zone, and I tried to watch some of the game while also keeping an eye on his practice as well.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I know he didnt play but I'm almost posotive Justin Johnson played. They used Practice jerseys, as did Valley so I wasnt forsure that it was him, he used number 7. He had Belfrys lone TD from about 65 yards out but didnt do much after that. Both teams turned the ball over atleast 3 times. Kind of sloppy. I seen a few nice hits as well. Good game overall. Neither team could put together a good drive with out turning it over. Good luck to both teams.

#7 is Trenity Carr - Soph. Gonna be a good player in the next couple seasons. Good size and athleticism.

The reason I did'nt think it was Johnson was because he didnt have the unreal speed I remember him having, and they have a big game friday. But i was'nt sure. The futre is bright for both teams. Im so glad they aren't in the same District anymore or class for that matter.
