This was the best game of the week that i saw however its sad that it comes in controversy overall I thought both teams were very sloppy but this is to be expected since its the first game the refs called penalties on both teams I thought pretty well..... 1. The roughing the passer call on the last drive was absolutely false that did not happen wasnt even close....2. The timeout with 9 seconds left that the refs said pburg called is the worst call that i have ever seen there is no coach in this country that would call a timeout in this situation this was a call to keep pcc in the game and nothing else at this point the time would have expired and the game was over but the one play more was all pcc needed.......But anyway congrats to pcc sorry for pburg..........Hey refs get off your knees u blew the game

Didn't see the game, but I did see the highlights. What was up with the officials wearing black foul weather pants? This does show that they do not care for how they are supposed to dress. It is my understanding that the black pants are to be worn in foul weather along with a long sleeve shirt. If you don't care how you are supposed to dress, do you care how you apply rules and be in position to make the proper call?

the officiating was awful for pcc all game they gave prestonsburg plenty of chances late a td pass bounced and the kid trapped it on the ground and they called it a td then robinson got tackled the play was called dead a pburg player took it from him then the head ref called it a fumble..false starts all night..holding about every play..you lost pburg get over it pcc's line dominated pburgs late thats why they won

also on the roughing the passer call you are not allowed to touch a qb in the helmet at any instance..huff was smacked on the helmet the flag was called

A couple things then im done as well. Go back and look at my previous post. It shows when timeouts where used. Enough about that. Also at my previous post about penalty yards, almost 2/1 in Pburgs favor.

Now about the roughing the passer. Watching it again you can see #73 after the QB releases the ball run by him and with both hands slap him in the face mask. Anytime you hit the QB in the head its roughing the passer. A rule meant to protect and a good one I think.

The black pants are no longer used only in foul weather. It was changed this year so that they could be worn with short sleeves. Check any referee website and you will see new for this year "lightweight" black pants. So they can be worn in warm weather. I believe, and am glad that they are trying to phase out the knickers.

Watching the "trapped" touchdown catch again, Pburgs receiver makes the catch on the 7 yard line then takes 2 steps and dives into the end zone. Looks like the ball comes out when it makes contact with the ground when he dove into the end zone. Once it crosses the goal line its a touchdown. Doesn't matter what happens to the ball after that.

Im sorry but the P-burg player did not trap the ball he had his hands underneath the ball and it was a legitment catch and i was like 5 yards away and saw it. I was for Perry in the game and i will not lie about anything i see in the game. Penatlies were bad both ways but thats what football is about. PCC line never dominated the line. Huff was running all night. The Defense got Pressure on Crisp either in the half but didnt get too much pressure the second half.

Forget all the controversies... !! It's just the first game, so don't matter much in the big picture...

As I asked before, would someone mind posing a qtr by qtr summary or something like it ?!? (could make the game due to daughters leaving for college)

Question: Don't both schools' coaches get to see/approve a list of the referee crews assigned to all their games before the season? Most coaches know the officials in their area and their backgrounds. If there is a potential conflict, change the crew.

I was passed on this info and figured I would unretire from this thread so you could all see it.

Time outs: PCC used timeouts as follows. First half #1 in the 1st Q with 4:09 on the clock. #2 in the 2nd Q with 3:09 on the clock, and #3 in the 2nd Q with .17 on the clock.
Now in the second half: #1 in the 4th Q with 7:36 on the clock, #2 in the 4th Q with .45 seconds left. And #3 in the 4th Q with .9 seconds left.

Also, final penalty yard totals. PCC 115 penalty yards, PBurg 65

BTW - Next PCC ball game, DON'T SIT NEAR THE PEP SECTIONS! Couldn't see a damn thing the entire 1st half because of the fans in the front standing on the bleachers. SIT YOUR ASS DOWN SO I CAN WATCH THE GAME!

I wasn't in it, I was near it and still couldn't watch the game.. It was terrible. I blame MVP2 because he is the person who picked the seats. Way to go buddy.

Ballers in a game like we seen Friday night, where it was undecided till the clock hit zero you should of been on your feet all night lol. I was. I couldnt hardly talk the next day my throat was so sore from yelling.

After the 3rd, I knew PCC was going to win - and they did.
I kinda wished I would had stayed though to see the excitement of the Blackcats taking the lead on PCC.. But then again I would have been heartbroken to see the outcome with seconds winding down Sad

I dnt think PCC goes 3-7 they should be better than that defense looks decent trent played like crap he will get better I think they wont go unbeaten by no means but they will win some games prolly 6 or 7 if and only if everything comes together
