Oh yeah... I really hated that about Jamerson getting hurt. From what I got to see of him before he got hurt, he looks like the real deal. I hope that his injury is not severe and he comes back and has a great season for you all. Solid player.

Things to note from this game:
- QBs and WRs were a little shaky. A lot of questionable throws and a lot of dropped passes.
- Perry has incorporated a new red zone offense that it looks like Matt Robinson is the focal point of. If I'm not mistaken they were running "Pistol - Full House" with #24 at Tailback.
- Prestonsburg has a backup QB that looks as good as not better as their starter.
- Once again Kyle Huff is running for his life on every other play if he actually has the ball snapped to him. Gotta fix the problems upfront.
- This 2 teams may have the worst kicking games in the mountains. Perry Central had a punt go for negative yards in this one. That's correct....negative yards. It bounced straight up. Hit the ground. Then it shot backwards for about 15 yards.

Late in the game, they missed a blatent late hit that one of the Pburg boys threw on one of our receivers. The offsides call was a no brainer. That's ok though, if and when PCC loses you won't see me on here crying about the refs. Why does it always come to this?Ditto
You P-Burg fans wanna talk about our coaches being on the field? I saw your coaches on the field just as much as ours. One time, while the chain gang was measuring a down, you woulda thought it was a full timeout. The ref had to literally tell your coaches, water girls, etc to get off of the field. You have no argument there whatsoever. That's why we all looked at you like you were idiots as you were screaming and crying that from the stands. I guess the sportsmanship speech they gave before the "contest" didn't do the trick.

How many unsportsmanlike conduct penalties did PCC get tonight???
Differences in the coaches being on the field is ours were out there during official time outs. Haddix was out there with the clock running. If you think they are the same thing, well...
He was never on the field when the clock was actually running. Where y'all getting this stuff from?!

I'm about as tame as they come but I would imagine no one on the P-burg side raised as much cane as me lol

BS... your coaches were on the field just as much as ours were. I guess you were in your own little world down on that end of the bleechers or something. Was the angle really that bad that you could not see this no more than 20-30 feet from where you were sitting?

Also...
Matt Robinson had 2 TDs in this one.
A kick return and a rushing TD

The biggest bonehead move of the night was the officiating assignment whether it played a role in the outcome or not. Anyway, I did have Perry Central picked to win so I did get one right on the picks.

Good point! All in fun. I was actually impressed with PCC fans tonight. No complaints from me about their actions.

Joseph Jamerson is Pburg's kicker and he can actually boot the ball both on kickoffs & punts. However it seemed like Derossett didn't want them kicking the ball deep for Perry to set up a ball for them to follow behind. However the pooch kicks backfired and Perry ended up scoring on a great run by Robinson.
I thought Pburg punted the ball pretty good tonight. Heck, even Crisp punted the ball pretty well after Jamerson went down with the shoulder injury.

They both were doing it man, i saw it from both sides. Hell, even the dude running the clock made several mistakes. Let the clock run when it shouldn't have several times. It was bad all around, but they have no reason to blame that on their team losing the game. It was a hard fought game, both should hold their heads high. Not get on here and cry about coaches being on the field, refs making bad calls, etc... Especially since the blunders in officiating, clock keeping, etc went both ways. Even the dude doing the PA announcements got twisted around on a few things.

Sounds like it was one big cluster .... It is really a shame when you have kids from both sides playing that hard.

I can understand not wanting to kick it deep against Perry.
The one legit deep kick they had was brought back to their 35 by Beatty so I would have kept it on the ground as well.
Perry may be deeper at skill positions than anyone in the mountains.
A lot is said about the WRs and their speed/athleticism, but has anyone noticed the depth at Running Back.
Keagan Robinson
Brian Rankin
John Sizemore
Matt Robinson
They have 4 backs that are all legit.
If Tom Larkey was coaching this team he may even pass less than he does with the Cubs lol

You are right. And not once did I say any call or non-call was to blame for losing the game. Pburg did not LOSE the game...PCC WON the game. Big difference. I was just adding to the long list of errors on the part of the officiating game.

Oh ok, they didnt lose. My bad, I didn't see them cut the trophy in half on the 50 at the end of the game. Maybe it's a difference in opinion, but the way I see it if your team didn't jump offsides late in the game, they had PCC on the ropes. JMO though, maybe you're right, they didn't lose.

IMO spuds made more holding calls AGAINST pcc than in favor of them.
He had block in the back call where the PCC hit the kid in the chest.
Perry had to kick off from the 10 once because of penalties and it was holding galore all night.
I will admit there was a couple of untimely penalties for the Blackcats but like some said on here it seemed like both teams got screwed equally.
If everyone wants to hate so much, why don't you try to be an official.
I promise you....
it's no easy task lol

I tell you something I didn't understand. Why did PCC squib kick the ball after they got assessed the penalty on the kickoff that one time? That just didn't seem to me as a very wise decision to me, gave them the ball on their 35 - 40 yard line.

I don't think it was kicked like that on purpose....

Again, you misunderstand my point. The offsides call hurt bad, but even after that, PCC still had to score. Inspite of all the bad calls, non-calls, questionable time out, etc. PCC still had to score to win...which they did. Tip of the hat to them!
Did that one "no play" and offsides cost us the game? No...but it did give PCC another chance to win the game, which they took full advantage of. Again..Congrats to them.

this needs to stop. how would it be possible for the refs to "make" prestonsburg take a timeout?
PCC had used 2 timeouts at that time and used the 3rd with 9 seconds left. Even though the guy on the radio said I dont believe PCC has any time outs left. They did, after I rewatch the game I can give specific times of there time outs if it will make you drop the whole "pburg was forced to use one of there time outs." Dont you think the coaches would of raised all sorts of hell if that would of happend?
This was not a great called game by any means. But the time out thing is way off base.

I honestly wish there was some kind of line score that would show this to be fact, because I truly didn't pick up on this if it happened. Be my guest to point one out if you know of one, and I don't mean that in a sarcastic manner. I'm not really disputing what you say, if you were sitting there counting the timeouts that were taken and it came out that way, then by all means you probably have a legitimate complaint. I wasn't, so I'm not going to say they didn't get an extra one. With all of the penalties that were being thrown and other things going on with the game, it wasn't easy keeping up with every detail sitting in the stands.

OK, and as I stated, I guess it's a difference of opinion. If your team hadn't made that minor mistake late in the game, we wouldn't have had those chances to score the winning touchdown. No matter if they had played a perfect game, no penalties up to that point, it was legit and still cost them the game, IMO, and if you want to look at it that way. I'm not taking anything away from our players, they rose to the challenge and won a close game. Nor am I taking anything away from your players, they played a hell of a game as well. Lots of talent on both sides IMO. In spite of all the officiating woes and other things that probably didnt turn out as intended, it was an exciting game to watch no matter which side you were rooting for.
