Southwestern?

Bowling Green is legit and a top three team in the state for all 6 classes!
#4
Looks like district 6 will be interesting. there are #3 top 10 teams in the district. District 7 and 2 have #2 top 10 teams. District 1,3 and 8 have one top 10 team. District 4 and 5 have no top ten teams.
If the coachs are correct based on their preseason rankings it will be Bowling Green and John Hardin in the west and Anderson county and Harlan county in thew east battling it out to see who goes to Bowling Green.

ah boys....
I understand they return a bunch of starters.
but those starters barely squeaked out a winning season last year

Harlan County Wins it first of many Titles this year.
It maybe the best defense I have ever seen.
Glad to see HC in there at 3 but maybe a slap in the face with what happen to the west side last year in the finals!

Yeah but look who they lost to last year!

Bowling Green
Somerset
Pulaski Co
Scott, TN
Whitley Co

All those teams were really good last year with the exception of Whitley Co.

And that "not so good team" spanked them in the playoffs at Southwestern 45-0. They were awful, blame the weak schedule on the wins they had. I dont see anybody in that district winning a playoff game this year. I think district 8 has the potential to sweep them like they almost did last year but Perry was to overmatched against Pulaski.

Get back to me when the team that did that is back in the east.

I get the temptation everyone has to elevate the team that plays Highlands closest to favorite. The reality is, the eastern side got 4 cracks at it, and none of those is in the state title game when the Bluebirds elevate it even more.

Harlan County has a very good team this year, as do Bowling Green and John Hardin. #3 is not a slap in the face.

Don't see Pulaski over Southwestern at this point...SW returns much more and PC has a lot of young guys needing PT to get it going.

Southwestern played a good schedule and had a HUGE letdown in the playoffs, which had a lot to do with heart. They didn't want it. I think the Warriors will surprise a lot of teams this season, that is if they want it bad enough. And I totally agree with Jumper Dad, I think Southwestern should be ranked ahead of Pulaski as of now.

Didn't SW get spanked by Whitley county in the playoffs last year. I know PC lost a lot but I agree as the same with Bell until you beat them they will be ranked higher than you. Although I think SW may indeed win. I think Dale does a good job and sales his team well. Good Luck to all!

Could be a Bowling Green-Harlan Co. Finals! That would be great for the Black Bears!!
