Leslie County Scrimmage

Does anyone know what happened in the Leslie County-Jackson County scrimmage last night?

Not a bad little scrimmage. Leslie has a tough running back. Big, solid kid and runs hard. Best hit him low or he will add you to his highlight film I think. As for Jackson, didn't look bad. Threw the ball well, had some times they ran the ball. TREMENDOUS amount of improvement from last year, IMO. Quarterback throws nice balls, receivers are running good routes and catching good passes, and the backs are actually running forward and not east and west. If Jackson brings along the D, they will easily win a few games this year.

Was there a score to that scrimmage? At least who was the better team?

Leslie didnt look bad at all, but neither did Jackson. Jackson seemed to throw the ball at will! LEslie ran at will, pretty evenly matched!

Throw at will?? Not quite...

Leslie played every player on their roster significant minutes because there was no JV scrimmage.. The only time the 1's were in were on the 1st couple of 10 play sets..

Leslie was playing with their 3rd string QB...

If you want to throw in JV then take a gander at this. Leslie may have been playing a 3rd string quarterback but Jackson STARTED 3 freshman on D-Line, one at corner, one at D-End, and 1 at linebacker. Maybe this is why there was no JV game? Jackson has maybe 3 seniors on the team! And yes throw at will, The only passes they didn't catch was mistakes by a young QB or the receivers just dropped it.

Wishing Jackson success and improvement this year. Always treated nice by the guys in their program. Don't know the Leslie folks as well, but sounds like they are on the road to a nice season.
