Middlesboro 41 Pineville 14 (SEKC Panorama)
#1
Pineville just couldn't get anything started, and Middlesboro capitalized on that

Roark had 5 TD passes and Riddle had 4 TD receptions and who knows how many yards could be 200... I came away from that game thinking damn Zack Riddle is a beast and his ability as a WR and a athlete is amazing, He's the real deal folks.. Could be the best we've ever had here at MHS.

All you will hear is Roark to Riddle all year. Riddle was the real deal as a Sophmore. Being a good friend of his I enjoy watching him play when I'm not at Bell games.

I thought that Roark displayed his passing game pretty good tonight with some nice long strikes. I think the Middlesboro/Harlan game could be a shoot out a month from now. My overall impression of Pineville is that they don't have much speed in the backfield and their line couldn't keep the Jacket's d-line off their QB long enough for him to get off a pass. I guess the big back they had was Asher and he just didn't have the speed that I had heard he had.

Also got to give props to Major he played a great game and threw the ball exceptionally well tonight , it's gonna be fun watching him grow up over the next 4 years.

Pineville's best player on both sides of the ball was on the sidelines in a splint from knee injury/surgery..ASHER. He will be out for at least five or six more weeks...if not longer. Really hurt Pineville...with their lack of numbers. Douglas was number 24, I believe and had a few nice runs. More of a power back.

I thought that the Asher kid being out really hurt pineville on both sides of the ball. But any school pinevilles size would struggle with that caliber athlete being hurt. I wish the Asher kid a speedy recovery. Goodluck to all the mountain teams. Hoping to see all them play this year.

Sounds like Roark put on a show. If only he wearnt in a district that had 3 teams ranked in the top 6 in 2A

Roark is legit.

Roark is a good little QB, he'll have a great season if he stays healthy. We'll also see him to Riddle all year, that tends to be his go to and will really show this season. Asher getting hurt is a HUGE upset for the Lions. They will struggle all season, not sure if Asher would make much difference though, especially against M'Boro. Good luck to both teams though!

Does pineville win if the Asher kid is not hurt? Prolly not or better yet no they don't, but I do think that it is a much better ball game if he did play. Pineville may win 3-4 games. A school Pinevilles size can't lose the type kids to graduation and be as good as they were the year before, never mind that they lose there biggest player this year to injury.

If memory serves me correct, I never said ASHER would beat MIDDLESBORO now did I? I was saying he's a hurt on Pinevilles overall season performance. I never once said he would win them anything, I just simply stated he WOULD make a difference.
