With the rumor about Mingo Central playing Belfry this year i don't see that happening because The Miners have a home game on that date against Wyoming East. Most big schools in WV are affiliated with a conference so that eliminates alot of them. I have heard of teams before playing each other twice in the regular season due to lack of games.

I agree 100%. Belfry may not have a game in the PCB this year. Someone had mentioned that all the local teams in Ohio already had a 10 Game Schedule. I thought Mingo Central would have been the best bet but I heard that they also have a 10 Game Schedule

If the PCB does not step up and make this situation right it could spell the end of Belfry's involvement moving forward. The Pirates would have little to no issue getting sponsorship for their own bowl game and have the facilities to host it.

When the PCB was in it's prime it presented the following advantages to Belfry:
- Great Competition
- Great gate with a State Power Pikeville squad
- The best facilities in the area (Vipperman Stadium was not fit for a Bowl venue)
- Statewide Media Attention and acclaim. The PCB was the PREMIER bowl game.


Now:
- The competition has resorted to "average" teams and teams who break their contract. It has went from Beechwood, Highlands, and Louisville Male in the past..... to Boyd County, Covington Holy Cross, and Harrison County n the present.
- Belfry controls the gate and Pikeville has fallen on hard times.
- Belfry now has the best facilities in the area. More seating, more parking, and a separate visitor side. Meanwhile, Belfry has been jockeyed out of hosting nights in favor of Shelby Valley?
- The PCB might not even be one of the Top 5-8 bowls in the State.

Shawnee is either canceling there whole season or just there Non-District Games so maybe Belfry can get one of there old opponents to come and play them (Kentucky Country Day, Eminence, Atherton)
