I say Lebron James
You have a lot of time on your hands:biggrin:. I agree that LeBron would make a better football player. If I am not mistaken LeBron was an All State WR in HS his soph. year.

Naw not a lot of time... I work 60 hours a week but I talked A LOT of sports with people!!!!

But yeah Lebron was an All State WR.... Allen Iverson was another very good high school football player...

I pretty much agree, but put Rose at RB over CP3. Melo at TE and Dwight at DE, wow! But I could totally see it. I could also see Dirk at TE. Yeah, he's a little slow, but you throw the ball high enough, he's the only person that's going to get it. What about Boozer at DT over O'Neal? Josh Smith at DE over Chandler? Iguodala could be a 3rd WR. J Kidd has QB written all over him too, haha. Great list, dude.

Boozer and Smith not as strong as O'Neal and Chandler... LOL

CP3 better running back then Rose.... Fastest players in the league play CB.... CP would be a smart runner...

Thanks....

I've also heard that a few NFL scouts talked about Chuck Hayes when he was first coming out of college... I could see that..

The obvious answer is.. Lebron James at WR. And I could see Derrick Rose at RB or SS.

Fun thread!!

He was being recruited by among others, Ohio State and Michigan for football.

Boozer and Smith appear much stronger than Tyson Chandler and Jermaine O'Neal. Boozer does without a doubt.
Yeah, I could def see Rose at corner, but personally I'd put that rare speed at RB.

Lebron was one of the best WRs in the nation his senior year.
He wasn't as recruited as much as he could of been though because everyone and there brother knew he was going to the NBA.
AI was good too. He was a scrambling QB but I don't think his body type would have transferred to the NFL lol

LeBron didn't play football his senior year.
#13
^You sure?

Probably not...
But that didn't make him any less of a hot commodity among the NCAA Football ranks.
He had offers from OSU, Miami, and USC I know of.
And those were probably the top 3 programs around that time period.

You guys really think these schools wanted lebron to come play just football? Thats funny,

Beside would you want him catching a game winning touchdown int he Superbowl?

The only place his talents would belong would be South Beach.

I've rarely say anything positive about the man....
but he was a freak on the football field.
His highlights speak for themself.

Ive seen the youtube highlights. But we all see his NBA highlights as well. He just crumbles under pressure.

Allen iverson was player of the year in Virginia i believe.
#19
^Yes he was.

Chris Paul at RB, he'd get smashed. I like the post, EKFF. Its interesting.

Rose would definitely last longer at the position.

I don't think so... Rose isn't as smart, Rose would try to run around without reading the D, and get killed..

CP much better "eyes".... CP would be like Jones-Drew...
#23
I heard Nate Robinson was a good Football player in high school...

Don't matter how smart he is, he's too small, and at RB you're going to get hit. Rose is a tank for his size.
All this is JMO. It's all speculation, nobody truly knows.

Oh yeah just fun talk lol...
#26
D. Rose would be a beast at RB.
#27
D Rose would be a beast at football with just straight NBA players, with NFL players hed be hurt in 5 games.
#28
^^

Agree with that!

Yep. That was his only year he didn't play in high school. Ironically, he broke his wrist during the summer playing in a basketball tournament in Chicago. It was still tender by the time football came around and he didn't want to risk anything.
