Trade ideas/rumors
#1
I simply wanted to start a thread to get everyone discussing some interesting ideas. Im just curious on some trade ideas that are possible (although unlikely) that you would love to see your team make for next season. Just toss out some random, even insane ideas, just for the sake of conversation.
#2
Heat Jamal Magloire for Magic Dwight Howard

Heat Mike Bibby for Spurs Tony Parker

Lakers Kobe Bryant to Toronto Raptors for 2 sticks of gum and a mop-head (then will be waived)
#3
I would like to see the Kings trade Tyreke Evans and Jimmer Fredette to the Nets for Deron Williams or to the Hornets for Chris Paul.

I know it would probably not happen but I do not feel like the Kings can become a playoff team with their current roster. I do believe that Cousins, Thornton and Hickson are great pieces. (Thornton and Evans are very similar but Evans would be better trade bait) I just do not believe that a team can be a serious playoff contender with Tyreke Evans. I just hope that I am wrong.

Jamal Magloire for Dwight? Cmon SD, you're smarter than that. That would never happen.
#5
What's your beef with Tyreke? He's Sactown's best player.
#6
Kyle Korver, Carlos Boozer and a second round pick for Marc Gasol and OJ Mayo.

LC, I would love for that trade to happen Big Grin

Lakers Trade Bynum and Odom for Howard and turkoglu.
Then Lakers trade Brown and artest to the suns for Nash.

Suns get younger like they want, and they send Nash to a contender to assist him for all the assists he has given them.

Magic get the most they could possibly get out of Howard instead of losing him in free agency like they did shaq and clev. did lebron. They also lose turkoglu's bad contract.

Lakers get a better point guard, one who doesnt have to be a huge scorer, knows how to win and would be perfect for setting up Kobe and howard. With the combination of Howard Kobe Pau AND Nash they look pretty unstoppable.
PG-Nash
SG-Kobe
SF-Turkoglu
PF-Gasol
C- Howard
(looks like an all star team and my ultimate wish list lol)
And the trade machine confirms this trade works.

Idea 2 that I could live with assuming we dont get Howard.

Lakers send Gasol to Minnesota Odom, Blake, and Artest to New Orleans.
Minnesota sends Love and Beasley to LA and Darko Milic to New Orleans.
New Orleans sends cp3 and Ariza to LA.

Lakers then have a lineup somehting like
pg- cp3
sg- Kobe
sf- Ariza
pf-Love
C-bynum
And have beasley has young spark of the bench. Thus LA gets way younger and has 3 all-stars easy. Could even start barnes and bring Ariza and beasley off the bench. No need to have all the scoring in at once.

Minnesota get their all-star pf to help ease rubio into the NBA.

New Orleans gets a versatile big man in Odom, plus Milic to help fill the void of losing West. along with a back up pg to help ease the loss of cp3. And a veteran Artest (Peace if u will) to add as well.

Everyone wins, Lakers look awesome IMO.

I like Tyreke, he is a 20-5-6 player on any night BUT his trade value is big now and will be bigger with another full season under his belt. Him and Thornton are basically the same player except for the boards that Evans gets BUT Cousins and Hickson will limit Tyreke's boards this season anyway.

I believe Tyreke is the best trade option they have and they need a true veteran PG to help with this teams chemistry. It stinks, and I will be the first to admit it.

Tony Parker is the kind of PG that would have done grat under Phil Jackson but I don't know about Mike Brown.
I think Shannon would be a liability on D at the 3.
However....The Spurs would benefit lol

To be honest both yours or ekff's will never happen lol
To many players being traded in the ekff's and yours is just too Laker-heavy lol

Thats true. If u split mine into 4 trades though, one of em is likely to happen. Personally the Howard/Turkoglu for Odom/Bynum trade looks very very likely IMO.

Shannon Brown is a free agent.

I would like to see the Lakers trade Odom & Bynum for Chris Paul.

Celtics sign Yao Ming or David West.

Im very interested in a healthy Yao. People seem to have forgotten him. I think he can still contribute pretty good though if healthy.

Idk if id like this or not. Trading 2 of our 7 footers for cp3. We'd have to sign a good free agent to make me be okay with doing this.

Me too. I'm a fan of the big guy, I'd love to see a healthy Yao in the Green and white.

Im a fan myself. My name obviously a play on T-Mac, I had huge hopes for T-Mac and Yao when they were together in houston. However, I dont want to see him in green or purple and gold lol. I dont think we need him in LA, and I dont want to see the Celtics add to their already good team. Im thinking a Knicks uniform for Yao would be interesting.
#27
^ I think Yao will be back in Houston.... That's where I'd like to see him.... Houston 43-39 this season without their best player.... Hornets and Suns both are about to fall out of the playoff picture next year, so I believe Houston could be a very good team next year, If they can keep all their players... Maybe not a title team but could knock someone out..

Yao Ming
Kevin Martin
Kyle Lowry
Luis Scola
Courtney Lee

^ Yao is this decades Bill Walton. His body will never allow him to be better than what he was his first two years of his career. He is done!

It sucks.
A lot of big men's bodies give out on them when they get in the league.
I would like to see what Yao and Greg Oden could have done in this generation if they were healthy.
