I love to root for the small schools. Realistically it will be very hard to win there with the big surrounding schools nearby.

The new coach will either be the P.E. teacher or science teacher.
:flame:
The new coach will be able to pick whatever in the heck he wants to teach.

Won't be social studies or math bud.

My personnel opinion, I'd like to see Dook Combs come back and coach the lions. I believe he is the best fit for the school.

You said "It's untelling who they get for the girls coach, they get a new coach every year amlost"...
So I thought about it, and it's about the same deal for Cordia's boys too.
IMO, you could bring Phil Jackson to Cordia High and they still wouldn't be able to win region.

So...
let's say a state championship coach puts in for this job and he's a math teacher....
Are they gonna tell him that they don't have a spot for him?

Everyone that I know at Cordia, people such as Alice Whitaker, tell me how they love their math teacher and how he is the best math teacher they have had in a long time. Now if a state champion coach applied, yeah they probably would get him that job, if that math teacher does not have his tener(spelling???). If the math teacher had his tener, they would have to create a second math job cuz any teacher with there tener you can't fire.
The new coach will not be a social studies teacher because Steve Melton is the social studies teacher and the Melton's to Cordia is the Amis's to Perry County.
They will have too create a second math teaching job or a second social studies job.

so what's the latest on this position?
06-08-2011, 09:46 PM
Wall2Wall is right, no matter who gets the job they are not going to fire a good teacher, def. not the Melton's. They are legend on Lotts Creek with baseball. No Tommy2, him applying for any coaching job would be the biggest joke in high school history. I have even heard Robert Paul will be your next head coach at PCC, John Paul will retire when Robert Paul is ready, which is the worst possible thing they can possibly do. Unless they get a coach who has another job through the day and DOES NOT TEACH, they will have to hire a coach with a teaching degree that fits there schedule, or do what Wall2Wall said and create another teaching position.

Coach Fugate is the FIRST coach to have come in and coach for just one year then leave, FIRST!!!!!!! For 2 years in a roll in the early 90's Cordia had the best team in the 14th region, why can't it happen again. The only reason PCC and KCC and all these other school have all this talent is because they are big, Cordia has no more then 90 students in there school and beat schools with 5 and 6 times the number of students these past 4 years, so looks like they are doing pretty good for themselves. This past year if they would of had a big man at all they would of come close to beating Knott Central in the district tourney, just lost by 11 points and their Center was 5'11", if a coach can bring in players, which coach Fugate had a lot of younf talent coming in, they will be very successfull

I just know the Melton's really well, they are the to Cordia, like the Amis's are to Perry County Central. Steve Melton the Social Studies teacher will not be fired, and the math teacher Anthony Fugate has his tenure.

Why do people post these ridiculous comments. Robert Paul, years down the line, will coach in the great state of kentucky, but it defiantly will not be Cordia. He is an Amis, he wouldn't be caught dead in the hallways of Cordia. He looks down his nose at anyone associated with Cordia.
