Fingers don't stay broken for two whole years. It may still be sore, but come on. Is there really any milk left in that cow?

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but you are not doing a very good job defending Kobe's performance. Had his lawyer given such a weak effort, Kobe might be doing some hard time. :biggrin:
Seriously, Kobe's FG shooting percentage was third best among shooting guards this past season, despite what I believe was his typical poor shot selection. (That would be my defense of Kobe's shooting numbers. Third best in the league for his position is not too shabby.)
If he decides to adjust his game as he ages, there is no reason that Kobe could not raise his percentage through better shot selection. Ray Allen is coming off a career best 49.1% shooting season, so there is still hope for Kobe to retire and be remembered as a team player.

Sorry for the thread-jacking. I hope that Mr. Abdul-Jabbar does not feel slighted. He deserves his own thread. It's the least we can do to make up for him not having statues erected in his honor.
