Thoughts?
Jackets lose a ton of seniors and come off a very disappointing season of 5-5-1. Could be a very long season.

It is a real possibility they finish last in the District.

One thing about, can't do much worse than last year. I think this new coach will be able to handle this team better than what he did last year. Too much went against him because all the senior parents were mad because Frazier was fired.

Things can and will be worse IMO. They may win 1 game depending on schedule. Harlan and them will be a toss up. I know Lynn Camp dropped them. When you start losing things will unravel. From what I have heard they may already have started. Some returners have decided not to play and the weight room has said to have about 12 kids lifting. So things can get worse.

You can't play them without a fight unless you play them on your own field. Same trash they did at football happened with basketball. I have not heard of one player that is not coming back, not that you have that much to come back. It is going to be a very young team. But Middlesboro is really bad at anything right now. You have two kids to count on for sure, but you also have some freshman that are going to be pretty good. They embarrassed themselves last year without all that dream team crap. You focus on a team as a whole, not a few. But the problems are gone and in a couple of years, Middlesboro will be back. I don't know why Harlan Co won't hire Frazier. Everybody praised him so much when Middlesboro fired him looks like he would be the best choice, right? Get him out of Middlesboro.

One reason he has not applied and according to a couple of our coaches is not going to. You need to move on . I here he is going to stay on as an assistant at Bell. This thread is about Middlesboro 2015, leave the excuse somewhere else.
Middlesboro has problems in all sports and not going to get better anytime soon.

Could just be a constant reminder of how they screwed up a senior class that should have been much better. Move on and 2015 . Hearing a new offensive co. may be coming from Pikeville College. That will help a ton. They will be very young and will struggle.

If you don't think Middlesboro will be back in a couple years, you need to move on. You're a Bell fan, so start a thread on Bell and talk about what you know.

Bell Fan? I may switch depending on who we hire. We will see. Who is the coach from Pikeville College?

Glad to see Trevor Hoskins back on the sideline of the yellow jackets! He will make them that much better!

My brother plays for Middlesboro. I probably support them as much as anyone. They'll suck. Bad. Just being honest.

Middlesboro is 2-0 verse Bell the past two years and folks want to talk smack on here . We will be young next year , but the following two years we will beat Bell again.. Bell fans better enjoy next year, cause the following years will be UGLY

Middlesboro was very disfunctional and under achieved last year. I hope they clean that up and get back to kids playing football and having fun.

First of all I am a Pineville Fan, so that all you Middlesboro guys will know I am not from Bell. You are 2-0 against us the last 2 years. With that said, how is it going to feel when we beat you the next few years. It could get ugly. LOL

This is about the only thing I have agreed with out of Middlesbore since Frazier got the Larkey treatment...

I do not look for a good season next year. But, I do believe you will see a more disciplined team and a team that works as a team and not as a bunch of individuals. I heard today a couple of new coaches were going to be hired. Not sure what they will be coaching or if they are replacing anyone on the current staff. Hell, at this point I don't even know if it is true. We'll see. Someone earlier made a comment about there only being about 12 in the weight room. This one thing I found out that is not true. I was told the weight room had a lot of those kids working and they are doing a lot of training right now. Middlesboro will have some speed next year, because I have heard of no one leaving and I got it from a pretty reliable source. So instead of beating those boys down, let's wait and see what happens.

Speed?????? They lost everyone. Who has speed that is returning?

Everyone we had last year. Answer the question, who has speed? Reading your post give the computer to your son mommy.

TheBoz Wrote:Everyone we had last year. Answer the question, who has speed? Reading your post give the computer to your son mommy.Apparently you think their is someone with speed. You just accused me of being a mommy. You want the truth? I know two freshman that have a lot speed, our QB is fast. But as far as the rest of them...can't tell you that much because only a certain few nave been coached in the past few years. I am a Middlesboro fan. Period. I'm not going to sit here and praise when there is nothing to praise. But, I can guarantee you, this new coach is a coach and you will see a difference if parents get off his back and administration lets him do his job. Out of 16 seniors, you didn't see that much either, so I am not going to say we will win that much, but it can't be that much worse. Think about it.

So what your saying is your going to do 0-10 the right way. What is your schedule for next year?
02-02-2015, 12:35 AM
I should not say that when I do not even know your schedule. My bad. I just believe that we will beat you, we have beat this team every year we have played you coming through the grades.

TheBoz Wrote:So what your saying is your going to do 0-10 the right way. What is your schedule for next year?I have no idea what Middlesboro's schedule will be. According to someone on here, Lynn Camp dropped us and if that is true, all I know is we won't be playing Lynn Camp. Take a lesson...winning takes nothing out of you. Losing takes it all. But there is a right way to win and a right way to lose. When you play for yourself and individually, which is what happened to Middlesboro this last season, you will get no where. If you want to shine as an individual, play golf. But never underestimate your opponent. I look at Middlesboro with a completely different view now. Time will tell.

If MHS can't piece together a formidable offensive line, they will be alright. In terms of specialty positions, they should be pretty good.
Freshman Isaiah Williams will step in and be a play maker immediately. The kid is simply a freak of nature. Add to that Raynoch Thompson (yes you read that correctly) and you have two freshman playmakers that are as good as any freshmen in the state. Anthony Jackson and Michael Carroll are two sophomore specialty players that also bring a great deal of speed and athleticism.
MHS won't be a regional contender next year. But it won't be long.

Is the Williams kid related to any of the Williams boys (Tubby, Julius, Hammer, Brian) who played for the Jackets back in the 70s and early 80s?
02-04-2015, 04:39 PM
Yes he is a cousin to them. Extremely good bloodlines there. Middlesboro will
be young this year in spots but they will be fine. They could be scary good for a few years to come when they get some experience under their belt.

Scary good seems quite a stretch.
How good was the middle school team last fall? They were pretty good in the fall of 2013 and pretty bad for a couple of years before that.

One of the juniors is a great lineman and the other two have skill and speed. You didn't see much of these kids last year, but at least they were coached. Just like the thread on HC football...you have to work with everyone. Before the new coach, I would stop on my way to work to watch a little practice and I couldn't believe the boys that were just standing around. Knowing when this senior class was gone, you were going to have a hard time. But I know with Massengill, everyone was working, no not everyone played, but at least they were being taught. I hope it shows up on the field this coming season. We'll be okay this next season, but in a couple of years, Middlesboro will be back
