Ohio State football players are alleged to have improperly traded dozens of items to the owner of a tattoo parlor, receiving tattoos, $14,000 and in one case a sport-utility vehicle, according to a newspaper report.

When it rains it pours, and it's pouring in Columbus.

I would think Ohio would fire Tressel, in hopes of the NCCA taking it a little easier on them, then if they keep him as their coach.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

I'm not a big OSU fan and would love for them to get the book thrown at them as well.
However....I still don't think the kids trading their rings and stuff is a big deal.
If the stuff they traded was their own property I think they should be able to do whatever they want with it IMO.
But if the NCAA says it is against the rules my opinion doesn't mean much lol

I can agree with what you are saying on the surface about kids selling thier property but how do you determine a fair market value. I think the issue is that the NCAA is afraid that someone with deep pockets who likes the program could pay exaggerated prices for something like a bowl ring or trade it for other services or goods of a disporportionate value. How do you regulate that? The bottom line is major changes are needed on many levels at the NCAA.
