What do the Eagles need to do to improve from last year's 7-5, which made the playoffs?

I could see up to 8 regular season wins based on their schedule. I'm not sure what they return though.

The Eagles' schedule has been dialed down for a reason. They lost a ton of kids -- many four-year starters -- off last year's hard-luck club. They will win some games, but they'll likely be heading west for the first round of the playoffs.
