Kemba Walker is still the best PG in the tournament, but right now BK is playing right with him. This will be a much different game that what it was last fall!

Wasn't the first game like, the third game of the year?

As I said after UK beat Ohio State to get to the Elite 8, UK is playing with house money. They have overachieved two games in a row. No matter what happens, this has been a fantastic season.

With that disclaimer, only 3 teams in the tournament were real match-up problems, UNC, Ohio State, and Kansas. All three are out. I believe that UK wins this game, but it is almost impossible to pick against a hot Kemba Walker.

Official prediction: UK 72 UCONN 71 (OT)

UK can win this game with the same game plan that they used today. Tight defense, no stupid fouls and hit your shots.

It's going to be a good one.

I won't go with my head from the USU win on out,, I vote my heart after they beat Ohio. UK rolls on, by 3.

I think this is going to be a game where we'll have to grind it out. And we're great at that. Plus, UConn beat us this year, which I think is a HUGE advantage to us. Here we go men, this is what fairytales are made of. The Unbreakables are destined.

The revenge tour continues. The Cats are riding a 6'10" freight train and there aint no stopping.

It will be tough to beat Uconn, Kemba Walker is an amazing player so our gameplan will have to revolve around him. I don't think Harrellson will have the same problems with Oriaki as he did earlier in the year. UK will win this game by 5 68-63

The winner of this game plays Butler or VCU lol

Uconn is about to play a completely different team than they do in the Maui. Everybody on the team has improved and they are working together as one unit.
Uconn has improved too. Napier and Lamb have improved tremendously. Kemba is the best player in the college basketball and he just refuses to let this team lose.
I just can't see UK lose though and feel like it's destined for us to win. Uconn don't have the size that UNC or Ohio State.
Kemba is going to get his, but I think Liggins can make him shoot a low shooting percentage.
UK - 75
UCONN - 72

I smell #8, UConn won't stop us from getting it. Cats by 7.

Man, Kemba/Knight show will be awesome, Go Cats!

Another revenge game. Since the beginning of the SEC tournament it has been one right after another. Walker is an outstanding talent and his supporting cast has only gotten better. But UK has grown in multitudes compared to UCONN. They were playing their best basketball in Maui IMO.
No point in downplaying the CATS ability to win now...Championship or bust! GO CATS!
#21
A game that is going to get the majority of the media coverage of the final four. Many will pick the winner of this game will go on and win the Championship !!!

Going to be a large television audience and hope the game is what anticipated to be. GO CATS !!!

I'll be honest as a UK fan this game scares the bejesus out of me, since UConn absolutely destroyed us in Maui.

But at the same time, both these teams are far different teams from back then.

UConn has played a ton of games, so I'm hoping their legs will be weaken unfortunely they are getting a week to rest, but sometimes it takes its toll.
#23
We are such a different team from November! So is Uconn, but they still have the same elements that make them rather predictable. I think that Kentucky has the length, the lock down defender, and the strong post play to take revenge on this UConn team. I think that my Cats will come out on top 74-67!! Come on baby, can't wait for eight!!

UCONN has been playing off of pure momentum. They haven't seen this long of a break in some time I believe this week break for UCONN turns up to be an x factor in this one. For the Cats to pull this off we have to shut Kemba's partner in crime down Jermey Lamb. He can fill it up and he usually has the biggest point of the game. Another factor for the week break is this gives Doron Lamb time to recover that ankle just a little bit more. I see this being one of the best games we have played all year with neither team cracking 70.

Uk all the way baby...
This team has turned the non-believers into believers.. I never once doubted UK..
Time to eat some crow naysayers.. UK is in the final four!! Woooo!!
Cats by double digits.. Our train is rollin', and we take Houston by storm..

I'm siding with you here. I'm counting on UConn being tired, but I don't think that is the case. UConn gives us match-up problems, and this game again comes down to the Point Guard play. Knight has been awesome, but Kemba Walker is the best player in college basketball right now. There is no way we hit 55% from three-point line in this game.

I only see the Cats pulling this out if they can force Walker into mistakes and foul trouble.

I agree somewhat with this ideology. I think the Cats have to use the same type of game-plan as against OSU: Let Kemba get his and stop everyone else.

UK let Sullinger almost have a 30 and 10 game, but stopped everyone else. If Kemba goes for 30 but Lamb and R-E-aww-Keee (spelled the way I sound it out, lol) are stopped, UK can still win. This happened in the Big East, teams would stop the supporting cast and win. Nobody can stop Kemba when he comes to play, might as well stop everyone else.

100% agree great post LWC.
By the way, I think his name sounds more along the lines of (orr-eee-ahhh-keee) Wink
