Just curious if they give them credit on passed balls for stolen bases? Anyone know for sure? Some coaches will and some won't. Sounds like she is a great little athlete. It would be nice to have it consistant statewide by the coaches.

Passed balls were not recorded as steals in MC's scorebook, however, if the runner was stealing and the catcher made an error because of the attempted steal that was recorded as a steal. Brandi's stolen bases were recorded in that manner, hope this helps ya.

If the catcher made the error then that is not a steal. If she made a bad throw that is different, but a it is not a steal on a passed ball.

Did you not read my post? Pass balls were not recorded as a steal, an error on the catcher as if she catches the ball and comes up to throw and "lets see maybe drops the ball trying to rush the throw or over throws and so on". We know what a pass ball is if thats what you are getting at. If pass balls were recorded for steals she would have more than 86!
