Having watch this kid in the sweet 16 for the 1st time ever, I was amazed at her courage at trying to go back into the game and help her team.. However, it was quiet clear that she could not moved laterally and I immediately thought that she had torn her ACL... I hope that this young lady has a quick and speedy recovery and she is back in full force helping PCC get back to the sweet 16

What is it with Randy Napier, Star Players, and torn ACL's, does anyone else see a patttern here, maybe he works them a little too hard when he doesn't have to?

ACL usually isn't a stress related injury. All it takes it one awkward landing or one bad pivot to tear it, it is a surprisingly fragile ligament.

Yeah Randy works the girls to hard. I hear he puts out 2 buckets at every practice for the girls to puke in. Randy is the High School version of Billy Gillespie. LOL. Randy doesnt over work the girls. Good lord people. Maybe if they worked a little harder, their tendons wouldnt tear so easily. What actually does make your ACL stronger? Is there any exercises that strengthens it? This sure is a string of bad luck for Coach. First Maddon, Sturdivant, now Noble. Geez.

Despite the chain of unfortunate injuries, whatever Randy has been doing is working for him. I mean if it aint broke dont break it, right? My prayers go out to Kendall. Hope she recovers 100%.

Talking to different sports trainers and strength coaches they all say pretty much the same thing. A girl does not know how to land properly when they jump. A lot of times they come down in a lot of ackward positions causing stress to the ACL. Strength Coach at Virginia Tech said they have their girls jump and land from different positions so they learn to land with weight on hamstring and glutes and not on the ACL. Said they have them stand on Plyo boxes and step off backwards and land, step off side ways and land, and just step off and land. Also developing strength in the hamstring is big thing so it can handle the weight of the body as it comes down so that the person does not shift some of the weight to the ACL.
