It might be....but I'm sure they get paid little to nothing and just have fun doing it.....and it should be fun to watch.

I hope they make it. A lot of people in Eastern Kentucky complain that there's never anything to do around here, but then they never support ventures like this. I also think they are better than a glorified high school roster. Al Holland and David Jones both participated in NFL training camps.

Exactly. The people that won't go to these games, which will be fun enough for 5-25 bucks, are the same people that won't stop complain about there being nothing to do. He says it won't last. Well, it would if more people like him would support it. It is like they want to act to good for it for whatever reason.

Friday, February 18th was a monumental day for the newly formed Ultimate Indoor Football League. This day marked the first in a continuation of fast paced, hard hitting, arena league football. The historic first match-up featured the Eastern Kentucky Drillers pitted against the Saginaw Sting. The Drillers opened the game with a 50 yard kick-off return touchdown by kick return specialist and defensive back David Jones, the first touchdown in UIFL history. Jones was also awarded the Special Teams player of the week honor voted on by the league

Game was really really fun to go to and take in the sights and sounds. I think that the fans that were there seemed to like it alot! Personally I loved it! I thought that the dancers were great, I thought that the fan interaction was good and the ballgame was close and exciting!! I really hope that people keep coming back and support this team!!

The next game is on the 12th of March at 7:30. Tickets range from $7-$25 and there is really not a bad seat in the place.

For the record the attendence was 3400 tonight! I think that is great!! And I really do think that more will come out for the next one as well!!

If that was only 3,400 then there is no way on this planet Pikeville/Georgetown had 4,000. There were a ton more there last night.

BTW, the Drillers by 12, 38-26. The Drillers secondary balled out last night.

Did they sell 4k tickets to the Pville Gtown game, or did they say there was 4k in attendance? Could of been that they sold 4k tickets but not everyone came?
