What are some predictions on the '11 season. With Combs, Bentley, and Kiser back this year im ready for another run.

It will come down to the O-line and the D-line. If they can step up and take care of the task at hand this group of Dawgs could be very special this year. Good luck to the 2011 squad and to the new coaching staff. I am looking forward to see what we will have this season. Go Dawgs :Cheerlead

LC has a VERY talented Sophomore class coming up this year and should be a big plus for the team. Look for the name Skyler Salyers, Ricky Goble, Charlie Bradshaw, Mike Adams and a few more.

Major upgrade to the schedule will be noticeable in the won/loss columns. Dogs need to expect a 6-4 or 5-5 regular season with the hopes of a deep playoff run. Have some good talent returning but going to (in my opinion) need lineman to play both sides of the ball. This is something they haven't had to do in the last few years. Second halves have been where LC has taken over games but fatigue may play more of a factor this fall.
Good Luck to the new staff.

I wouldn't say toughest. Tough? Yes. Tougest? Not close, nor is anybody else for that fact; that award goes to Lou. Central. Nonetheless, I'm pulling hard for the DOGS this year. :flame:

I am looking forward to going to Letcher to see "THE SHOW". They tell me that with the the Jumbotron, dance team, pep band, fireworks and music that the football game is just a minor part of Friday nights.

What's going on in the weight room ?
Hope the numbers are good with the coaching changes.
Also who's onboard to help coach?

Like what? Saying that Central has the toughest schedule in 3A, and maybe in the entire state, acknowledging that the Dogs have a very tough schedule; all while saying that I'm a Lawrence County Bulldog fan and you get offended?
Wow.

Dawgs are going to have a tough but successful year, need to develop a few linemen, backfield is Solid with the return of Kiser and Marcum and Bently.
Look for big things from Clay this year. Defensively Welllman is all over the field and Marcum and Shaffer will be Seniors. Heard the numbers were solid in the weight room. Staff currently only consists of Cecil, Short and Caudill. I hear their is some good ones in negotiations too. Look for a 6-4 or 7-3, good run in playoffs...Go DAWGS:rockon:

Add Wellman to the defense. He plays from sideline to sideline!

They got a touch schedule this year. Which should make them better come playoff time.
02-26-2011, 07:16 PM
Should be a good year for the Bulldogs. I think if the mentality of winning all those games over the last two years can carry over to this season, then they should have a good shot at winning the district (maybe even the region). The Bulldogs need to add strength to their lines and eliminate all distractions in order to have a good season. Forget about the coach that was here, hes just a person who had his last name after the word coach. Goodluck Bulldogs...Tear 3A up!

If LC can dedicate theirselves to the weight room and improve on the offensive and defensive lines then LC is VERY and I mean VERY capable of blowing up in AAA.

The bulldobgs should win 8 games this year.

Was at their practice yesterday they look very solid this year but small in some parts..
Big Country (Tyler Combs) looked like a stud out there...He needs to keep getting stronger..the whole team needs to work hard in the weight room
