Is it just me or is Lindsey Wilson getting alot of the talent that Campbellsvillles and Cumberland would usually land? Im not 100% of this but I heard they have verbal commits from Braden Creasap, Tavis Elzy from Collins Clayton Stringer from Somerset, Erico Smith from Spencer co. and Zach Templin from East Jessamine. I have heard all these names before and thought they would go bigger than NAIA. Is this a sign of good things to come for Lindsey?

They had a pretty good record this past season for being all freshman. They got off the ground in a hurry. Their recruitment doesn't surprise me.

I haven't heard of any commitments from Tavis Elzy, but I did hear the Lindsey Wilson was really after him. I thought that Branden and Tavis would go higher than NAIA.

Zack Templin is going to Campbellville and Cy Williams is going to Lindsey Wilson.

Yeah its very surprising that they would choose such a same school but I saw on scout that Templin had turned down Campbellsville to attend Lindsey not quite sure you could be right. But Cy Williams never heard the name is he a small town kid?

Wilson will be a good school in a few years.

Zack Templin did change his mind from Campbellsville to Lindsey Wilson. I'm still not sure if Lindsey Wilson will be were he ends up at. LW is recruiting him to play DT.

LW's head coach is tremendous. That is the reason he is getting some good NAIA talent.

LWC had a very respectable season in the first year of the program. Coach Oliver is doing the right thing and going after the top talent in KY. With 3 D1 schools in the state and only a very small percentage of kids get offers, it leaves SEVERAL good football players out. From the games a saw last season I think LWC bigest problems was offensive line play. I thought they had decent talent at skill positions for all freshman.

Does LW give full or partial scholarships?

Yes from what I hear coach oliver is a great coach. Hopefully they can get the offensive line together and make improvements each year I think the program is heading in the right direction. As for Templin who ever lands him between CU and LWC they are getting a steal and great player.

Cy Wiliams was All-State linemen from ACS.

Wow then Cy Williams is a great pick up for them

Clayton Stringer and Zack Bastin each from Somerset have committed. Heard Alex Abner from Pulaski County is also headed to Lindsey.

Its no suprise that a new program such as Lindsey's would be able to pull in some great local talent. The money is there to give at LWC which helps out alot and they school is a great one to attend. They focus on sports and academics and compete well in all athletics. Simply a great athletic program they have built there. Kudos to them for allowing local talent to play there.

The coaches at Lindsey Wilson know how to recruit. They make it VERY personal and are upfront/honest about everything. They have the makings of something great in Columbia. Watch out Mid-South.....GO BLUE RAIDERS!!!

You can add Noah Reid from Clay County to the class of 2011. He signed Friday. Best of luck Noah.....Go get 'em BLUE RAIDERS!!!! I think that LW is getting the attention of the Mid-South.

Everyone seems to think that 1st team all state OL Zack Templin will play OL at LWC. He is their top DL recruit, and that is were he will play next season. They also have 1st all state OL Cy Williams on the roster next season. LWC on rise in 2nd yr. Congrats to all LWC SIGNEES.

Erico Smith from Spencer County won the state championship in the 100 meter and was second in the 200 meter at the 2A state championships last year. Expect him to win both this year.
This kid has awesome speed.

This is turning out to be a good class of talent I hope these boys can really keep their heads on straight and help put that program on top. The Administration is solidly behind the Athletic programs and they have 1st rate facilities for an NAIA school, especially in football, really nice football stadium and field! That alone helps with recruiting, along with the location being 100 yrds off Hwy 80 which makes it more attractive to EKY kids because the drive is a straight shot home and to school.

Two very good players and two very good people.

Location, money, and facilities are the major factors for LWC I believe. As bull said being right on the cumberland parkway makes is easy drives from about any direction. As mentioned they can get kids from Eastern Ky because to somerset it's only about 45 minute drive and also about the same to glasgow. And it's also in the heart of central/southern Kentucky so not a long drive from either direction. LWC is puts alot of money into all their programs and are able to give students better financial plans than other NAIA schools.

Have heard good things about LWC all around. Good luck to the young program.

Lindsey Wilson has got some real talent from within the state to pay attention to their program. They must have some really solid coaches our there recruiting these players.

Trent Tooley from Monroe County signed last week and Tyler Hughes from Barren County signed today with LWC

I have to give their coaching staff credit. They have really grabbed some great talent out of the mountains this year. If they keep this up, they will be very competitive very quickly.
