Betsy Layne 52 Prestonsburg 42

Ugly but a win's a win.
Was surprised with Pburg in this one.
Too many turnovers and missed shots from the Bobcats. Maldonado had a nice game though.

P-burg hit some contested shots that 90% of the time wouldnt go in for any high school player...

I dont believe Coach Junior Newsome is holding back anybody. He is the best coach in the 15 region. He definantely knows what he is doing.

i know, right? Wrote:I dont believe Coach Junior Newsome is holding back anybody. He is the best coach in the 15 region. He definantely knows what he is doing.

No argument here. It did look like he was trying to conserve energy, though. Did anyone in the house NOT wonder why Betsy Layne didn't press Prestonsburg to death? Final margin would have been much higher.

I would like to see a RUN & GUN style enforced as Pike Central applies, for the Bobcats, they are capable of scoring alot more than this set and wait for the right shot style.

It sounds like Prestonsburg hung close. Good win for BL.
