With A much easier (IMO Improved schedule), and what look to be coaching changes among the assistants how does the world of BGR think the tigers will fare next season?

I will go ahead and say if they get some seniors out, and get more athletes involved this could be a surprising year for the tigers. However those are some big if's

Who are the new guys on staff? Getting players and some of the school's better athletes out is key for any small program such as Paintsville

They're in the EKC this year, aren't they?

That isn't for sure yet. and yes that is the key to Paintsville being able to compete.

I have no idea maybe another member of the tiger faithful can fill us in?

Anybody got any more news?

If they don't do something over there then in a few more years they will be hard pressed to field a team. Kids are crazy, if your program is winning they all wanna be a part of it, however, when your struggling that don't want any where near it.

Well I know there are a couple of people interested in coaching, and there are going to be a few more seniors out this year. I just dont know how good the team will be.

I didnt know there was one transferring? I do know I talked to coach the other day and he seems pretty hopeful for this year and for the first time in a long time excited for the future.

Can Paintsville's line stand up to Pineville's line? Since Pineville's linemen dominated them last year and all of them was sophomores besides their center. I've heard one of pineville's linemen is going to Campbellsville, he plays RG, think he was a sophomore.

I would think that the Tiger's line could stand up to the mnt.lions line. The mnt.lions lost alot of talent last year and I think Paintsville is on the come back. I hope that Paintsville can get thier program back on track. The tradition runs deep there. Pineville too, for that matter. I know the Tiger's will spring back. Every team has down years Harlan certainly has had thiers. GOOD LUCK in 2011 Tigers.

I'm not saying anything bad about paintsvilles line, i just know from last year when i watched the game, pineville manhandled them, this year and pineville's coach has been recruiting that dudley did his first year at bell co. i watched their spring game, they have a running back like j.j. jude at pville now, his last name is asher, real talented kid
03-28-2011, 10:08 PM
Is this kid a better back than the one they had last year? Cause that kid could scoot and move side to side to. That kid done alot of things on his own, I think. Pineville could move the ball with him. It was thier defense that was suspect. Not that they didn't have the athletes to be better defensively. From what I saw in the Harlan game.
03-28-2011, 11:03 PM
They got outcoached in the Harlan Game, and plus that was the worse game i had seen that pville defense play all year. I would compare pinevilles new running back to the great runningback from, i think his last name was roskoph, when lynn camp went to the semifinals in 1A. this kids fast and big, he'll run u over if he wants too and break ur ankes if he needs too
03-29-2011, 08:35 AM
wheres Pinevile coming up with these kids? Ahh, I'm not really surprised. Pinevilles always has been able to come up with weapons. I look forward to seeing him when we come down this season. Should be another good one for one of the states oldest rivalrys. I know I've really enjoyed it. I have a brother that played for the Mtn.lions back in the late 80's. His name is Jaimie Caldwell. I enjoyed following him in those days. Frank Smith used to coach there. He was my Off line coach at Harlan in the early 80's.

I remember when Harlan and Pineville use to be the big dogs in southeastern kentucky football, looks like its about to become the same way again, I remember those teams of harlan past and pineville past when tuck woolum played at pineville, those were some great teams. How many years is the rivalry now it has to be close to 100
