The Los Angeles Angels, shut out in several bids to acquire free-agent hitters this winter, are on the verge of acquiring three-time All-Star Vernon Wells from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for catcher Mike Napoli and outfielder Juan Rivera, according to multiple reports.

The Angels should be traded Mathis instead of Napoli, they lose the deal just because of that.
Vernon Wells is pretty decent tho, it is what it is.
