Congrats Magoffin

good win for Pup miller's team and it shows how the 57th district is by far the strongest in the region.Belfry don't do very well unless they play one of west virgina's weakest teams(gilbert, williamson or Man)but they have to get wins somewhere

Are you serious Top Dog?? If that is true that they only beat WEAK Wva teams, how many WVA teams were in the district and regional games last year? This is the same team that won both last year. Your comment isnt based on anything but bias, or the facts I presented would be false. Id like to see YOU play aginst them, see how u do

I agree that the 57th is by far the strongest. Then comes Shelby Valley. But, I also think that the Girl's Regional Tourney will be just as interesting as the Boys this year. Should be a fun one to watch!

all I am saying is that they have a very, very weak schedule with only 1 good win Letcher County Central with 8 of their wins against weak West Virgina teams or Phelps and Prestonsburg even Pike Central is weak this year and they just beat them by 5 that is not bias at all that is the facts plain and clear you are talking about what they done last year and they done real good, but this is a new year and they are not the same team that went to state without thier coach from last year that is the easy to see:flame:

Magoffin and Shelby Valley is 2 of the 3 best in the region with Sheldon Clark being the other in my opinion I think one of these 3 will win region

I think you need to throw Paintsville into the mix as well.

57th district is just a toss up. It's definately the strongest district in the 15th region. SV, SV, MC, and PHS are definately the best teams in the region.

While I do agree and understand that the schedule could be stronger, the girls are not the ones that make that up, just the ones that follow it. It is also unfortunate that Rick is no longer their coach. But you have to deal with the cards you are dealt. A seasoned coach would have been preferred, but again, you deal with it.
Now the girls are the same talented team they have been since middle school. Sometimes they get in their own way, but I do believe when it comes right down to it, they will make it thru the regionals again this year. TongueirateSho

I see on their schedule that Belfry has Southwestern from the 12th region next Saturday. That will surely be a tough test for them. Southwestern has played some of the best teams in the state down to the wire this year. Should be interesting to see how Belfry stacks up with them.

Should be a shootout between JJ Bevins from Belfry and Danay Fothergill of Southwestern. But I don't see Belfry coming away with the " w " in this one. Southwestern is a really strong team.
