I know its early, however what has happened to our boys from Johnson Central. Was their too much hipe? Is the chemistry that bad? Is there no leadership? Someone please tell me where we can find them, before its too late. Suggestions?

From what I saw at the JC/Paintsville game, Johnson Central seemed to not be able to get into any type of groove offensively. Honestly, once Parker got in the game it seemed like there weren't enough basketballs to go around (he was 1-8 from the field). Give credit to the Tiger defense though keeping Skaggs in check. Other than him they really don't have a lethal threat from behind the arc. With Bratton, Parker, and Hall I'd put the ball on the block nearly every single possession. Paintsville went to a zone at times during the 2nd half and that really seemed to give them fits. I don't agree with their offensive game plan, but I'm not a coach. If it were up to me I'd try and get out and run as much as possible with that bunch. They probably have the most athletic team in the region from top to bottom. It's kind of like when Tubby Smith took over at UK, he ran a very methodical offense with athletic players, and UK fans hated it. Tommy seems to be doing the same thing here. I believe that you coach to your talent, but some coaches like to have a system, and that appears to be the case here. Because of that, I think the players feel like they are being held back rather than just doing what their coach asks of them to do. Sometimes you just need to accept instruction and perform your role on the team to the best of your abilities. But again, I've only watched them play one game and this is just what I see. They are averaging 63.27 points per game, and allow 56.81 points per game, but I like JC's chances when they score in the 70+ range. If they can consistently push the tempo and wear down opposing teams, I think you'll see more success in the long run. Again this is just my opinion, but of course it doesn't really amount to anything in the grand scheme of things.LOL

Nothing has happened, and it probably won't get much better. JC's history with Tommy as the leader has went downhill fast. Get used to it. This programs chemistry is terrible. You can't for sure even tell who the head coach is on game night. As far as the players there is no way they can work together, not enough Balls to go around. Everyone thought the arrival Of " Wade " was going to assure JC a regional title, Not !!! As I see it there are some " players " that try to do to much and some that don't want that to happen. I think Coach M has proven himself. With the teams he has had the opportunity to coach and the outcome each season ?? There are no suggestions from Me !! I think the solution is simple, just to late, like all the past seasons.

There are two seasons in HS Basketball and the first one doesn't really count.
Prediction: the Eagles pull together when it counts and their talent carries them to regional title & all the criticism is forgotten in March.

I don't think the sole blame lays on Parker and his performance, the shots he took were all good looks inside except for the last one he had to force up with little time. You are right though, it seems like there aren't enough balls to go around. It seems like ONE player wants to shoot it every possession and I honestly don't think it's Parker. Until they all come together and run the offense the way it is intended and everyone does their own job then they might continue to struggle. Way too much talent this season for some of the performances they've put on this year.

Boy this thread is going to get their season back on track. I'm one JC fan that wishes you would just be quiet. All your doing with threads like these is just bringing the haters out.

Let's be honest, I think you are only worried about "one" boy, and why he dont get to shoot more.

Your team is still JC, they are like all the teams in the 15th Region, having a few more downs right now than ups, but wouldn't you rather see it now, than tournament time? Let's all start saying something Good about the kids and something Good about our coaches for a change. A little positive can go a long way!

What ever "Mr Seger , that was a cheap- childish- shot against a great kid. Shooting more or less from any kid on this team, is not the worry.

Skaggs was silenced in the 2nd Half also and he forced a lot of bad shots as well (he finished 5-14 from the field). They looked like a completely different team from the 3rd quarter on. If they want to have any success at all they have to get on the same page and rely on one another.
