I just happend to run across this thread and figured I'd share my opinion, I'm not old enough to remember some of the old timers(sorry) but here's my top 5.
1.Jeremy Hall
2.Shawn Newsome
3.Thomas Jenkins
4.Mikey Slone
5.Nick Sammons
Also I'd like to throw Jeremy Hayes's name on this thread, IMO he is the most underrated player in AC history, could have played D-I at MIAMI(OH), and all the other names mentioned before on here sound good too but like I said I'm not old enough to remember them all, I've just heard about them.

Jeremy Hall was far and away the best player to ever suit up for the Rebs. Went to Wisconsin and if I'm not mistaken was freshman of the year in the Big 10.

I have to agree Gish, Jeremy Hall was great. I heard a myth once I'm not sure if it is true, but I heard that he was in a tournament, or all star game or something like that and was matched up with Jason Williams(Miami Heat) When he was at Dupont(WV) HS and was said Jeremy Hall was the best player on the floor by far. I think that was when he was offered the full ride to Winconsin, I wonder what he would have been doing now had he have stayed 4 years as a Badger, I think he was on the same team as Michael Finaly...Does that sound right?

No question. I think Jenkins was the 2nd though He was very athletic. He played around the time Paintville was so dominate and had some good games against paintville. Shawn Newsome IMO wasnt nearly as good as either of these two.
