How will the Patriots do in 2011? I hope they become more competitive and win a couple of ball games.

As long as their coach stays, they will get more consistent which will give them more wins.

I agree. I think Searcy will have this ball club back to winning games over the next few years. The good thing bout KCC now they have the support from the AD and school that they really haven't had in years past. This season they didn't win a game but with young and inexperience players it would have been tough for any coach. I'm looking forward for see Searcy can do this season. I look for 2 or 3 wins from the Pats this upcoming season.

Do they have a new AD? I sure hope that they can start competing in games soon. I do not care if they win or not, I just want for them to compete. My sons play football in Knott County so I have a personal interest in wanting them to be competitive. I am doing my part as a parent, and I expect the coaches to do their part as coaches. My sons are 11 and 9 years old, not yet a high-school students.

Coach Searcy will put the work in to get this program to improve. He just needs to be given the time to do so.

Where has he coached before and what kind of record does he have? Not being smart, just ignorant and do not know the coach's stats.

Shelby Valley, Whitesburg, and Perry Central. I think he had a decent record at SV and Whitesburg but at PCC I dont think he even won a hand full of games.

Being a native Knott Countian, and now living in Boyle for the past 11 years the answer to success is clear - foundation. To build and sustain a winning program it requires building the foundation for success. An earlier poster mentioned their two boys I believe 9 and 11. Are they playing currently? My youngest son started playing flag at 5 and is playing tackle at 8. 11 of the 12 boys in his classroom are all on the team. Third through sixth grade in our county we had 151 dressed players last season that will feed into the middle and high school ranks, all running the high school schemes. This foundation is the reason we have ran off 30 in a row and put boys in college and NFL. That same foundation and commitment needs to be made at Knott to reach the next level as if the boys are starting to play in 6th grade they are already behind the learning curve with other programs.

I think all programs that struggle need to follow the "Boyle Blueprint" as far as running a program.

HE just got their in January and already leaving? Maybe he seen what he has to work with and is hitting the road before he even gets started! Probably not a bad idea. I heard his son went back to Perry, maybe he will end up their trying to get back in, but doubt they will let him the way he left. I'm sure Searcy can handle it on his own.
