Why was Henry County dropped from the schedule? These two teams have had a classic border rivalry for as long as they have both had teams.

anyone who dropped Henry the next few years is not smart. Owen County is scared of Henry I think, the kids there seam to be defeated before they even play.

I question why Owen and Carroll will not play Henry Co. Carroll plays the Hostess (cupcakes) predistrict schedule, so I guess Owen has decided to do the same.

I agree with you for the most part. But as far as being scared, i actually heard many of the people with ties to the Rebel program sounding very confident. They seemed a little too arrogant after HC lost it's opener and OC was 4-0. After they beat a WEAK Grant county team they assumed victory over HC was a given.

nobody said we were scared and as a player for owen one thing we put in everybody on that teams head is we can beat anybody. yeah everybody can make there predictions for that game and all that stuff but when we walk on that field anything can happen its called an upset or an underdog.

I know you weren't scared. Im simply stating that many people were to excited about the 4-0 start to focus enough for an HC team that despite a down season was still a force to be reckoned with when they played with their heads in the game.

Why will Owen play Western Hills and Lloyd but not Henry Co.
Henry brought a large crowd.
I question their decision.

I also do not understand why Owen would drop Henry and continue to play lloyd and western hills?? county border rivalry games are great for high school football. I believe Henry graduates most of their talent, and will be young the next few years, so it would be a good thing to keep Henry on Owen's schedule. Owen should be very comparable and competitive with Henry the next 2-3 years.

Henry folks do not really travel well, but it would be a good game, and Owen would be the better team possibly in the next year or two, depending on what the admin does with the job. Owen is making improvement.

I disagree. I don't know what HC games you have been to, but they travel very well.

They only lost one away game all year to Owensboro Catholic. A team that went to the state finals in AA.

Very true bellyjump, I have been to a game where Henry was the visitor, and looked as though they had outstanding fan support, I also agree with whistleblower, Owen is making improvement and has the potential to be on par with Henry in the next 2-3 yrs, Henry is losing alot of talent in the class of 2011. BeReal, you are right, they did excellent on the road losing only 1 to O.Cath, however, they failed to win their 2 most important games at home: North Oldham and 1st round playoffs vs Moore. If Henry couldve beaten North Oldham at home, it would've secured a distrcit title for them. Best of Luck to both programs

I think you may have missed my point. We all know that Henry didn't do so well at home this year. But i believe we were discussing the team's traveling capabilities. This discussion had nothing to do with their failure to capture a district title or the outcome of the notrh oldham game. :moon:

Been to a few games of Henry, again, they bring a few but not a huge amount of folks on away games.
As for there season, HC blew it when it mattered.

I agree Henry blew the North and Moore games.
What games did you attend. Henry brought over 400 people to a 3 hour trip to O-Cath.
Ask anyone and Henry brings as big a crowd as any 3A school.
