East Kentucky Energy
#1
I just wanted to let everyone know that the East Kentucky Energy, Pikeville's ABA team, is currently 3-0 on the season. We had a big win last night vs the Georgia Gwizzlies 156-93. We will be back in action today at 4pm vs the Indiana Diesels at Pike Central High School. Come out and watch some great professional basketball in Eastern Kentucky!!!

Good job. You've done pretty **** good. I'll be at the game on the 29th, got a friend that's a dancer.

Anyone else thing that the "Gwizzlies" is about the dumbest name you can come up with for a team?

We actually were talking about that before we played them. Some of us were kind of scared to tell people who we were playing. We pretty much just said we were playing a team from Georgia. Look forward to meeting you and seeing you at the game!! Bring as many people as you can!!

I've played with Micah Oden and he is the real deal.
If he worked on his shot he'd be a bad bad cat.
None-the-less he can still throw down on anyone anytime.
Does he get a lot of PT?

He gets some, with his job it is hard for him to make every practice and some games. He wasn't with us for the two games this weekend. He can still get up and gives us some energy off the bench!!

The new ABA power rankings are out and the East KY Energy is currently ranked 5th in the league!! For our next game we will be having a pig-out night sponsored by Pig-In-A-Poke, who will be giving away free BBQ sandwiches during the game. The game will be next Wednesday, December 29 at Pike Central High School.

pick-up ball is a bit different then an actual game with equal/better players. micah is a decent player. but dunking is something that whole team can do. its easy to dominate young cats around here in small leagues and pick up games. but i'd say he isn't quiet as dominate in the aba league. i like the guy, he is a good player. but you are comparing apples and oranges.

Yes!!! I love BBQ sammiches.

I was talking to my friend who dances for the Energy when she invited me to the game and told me it was at Central. Does anyone else think it's stupid that a pro team is playing up there? I just think they should be at the Expo, no matter how many people go.

I was at the game the other night and had a really good time watching the Energy play.
But the guy with the mic, even though enthusiastic...was really loud.
