I definately like that it is FREE!...But it is also monitored well!...I posted a pic that was out of line and got banned for a few days!....I deserved it!..Good to know they don't put up with crap and respond quickly to situations!

I like the feel of the site too!....When your in a thread discussing something, I feel like I'm sitting in a room with a bunch of friends!...that's nice!

Besides getting the milk for free this site has the most knowledge and respectful fans of any other site. It's always good converstation over here about KY high school football. I have several freinds on those other sites to come on over to the good side.

Hey we agree on something . The other site lost me years ago when the mods took on assumed names to mess with people (they still do or simply try and bait or entrap some). Then when you call them out on it you are suspended or banned for a "rules" violation. Had it happen back in 2002 and never looked back.

I think everyone should be able to banter back and forth without people taking it personally and not getting banned. I'm hard on all the NCC folk, but I'm still at their functions raising money. I also tell them the same things in person. The other site seems to play the Rodney King method, "Can't we all get along". The have to consistently tell eachother how good their teams are so no one gets their feelings hurt. "Hey we beat ya 60 to nothing, but you guys are great competition and keep getting better".

They have a rule on BGP that you can't bad mouth any school or something and I know a guy who noticed that everybody was calling Ohio State O$U. He asked why it was okay for everybody to do that and was banned like 30 seconds after.

^ I think we all have our stories, and to be honest, it was the best thing that happened to me. I knew nothing of BGR until my frustration level grew to the point of hatred for the other guy's. I did a google search to find BGR, and have found a HOME. Though many of the long-timers on here have hated me ever since for busting down the front door of your house, drinking your beer, and leaving the toilet seat up!:biggrin:

I truly enjoy this site. I travel considerably for my job and have accessed the site from coast to coast (including Hawaii)!

yup I called a few of them out for an April Fools "joke" and was suspended for revealing the identiy of the posters ( by pointing out their other screen name)

Didnt they have on their one time that one of the mods was acting like a girl and one of the posters said he fell for her and left his wife and all that bs? I was never a member but read a little bit on there from time to time. That site is ridiculous.
I do believe this site is a little partial to EKY but thats not the sites fault, there are seriously just more posters from EKY on here.
I'm surprised that hardly any posters from Lex ever get on. youd figure with all the teams in the Lex area thered be a boat load of them but you just dont see it.

Site was started in Floyd County, so that's why it's mostly EKY members on here. But thanks to SD and others who have put in the time to get more members here from NKY and other parts of the state.

I too was banned from BGP, but I still enjoy going over there and reading when the site allows me to read. I don't really hold a grudge against anyone on that site, but I'm glad I'm in the position I'm in here and honestly couldn't have it any better.

I'm a member of both and frankly like BGP. Sure it's over grown with NKY folks but no more so than the "Mountain Mafia" I find on here.

Each site creates a balance for me. I find more inside info there and more passion here. :Thumbs:

On a side note. If anyone gets banned from BGP, just put the charge of the yearly fee you paid in dispute with your credit card company. Tell the credit card company you're not receiving the services you paid for. You'll more than likely win the dispute. Of course, you might get a nasty email from the guru who doesn't seem to take it too kindly when he gets a chargeback against him.
