Justice played really good he had 21pts, Logan Johnson for the cougars shut him down in the second half, Justice only had 5 in the second half......but the kid is the real deal, thats for sure!!!!!

Congrats to the Cougars , a tough one, but a good win, the Cougars had one of their starters out, I think he would have made a huge difference in the game for the Cougars !!!!!!

Looks like Letcher Central should have kept Coach Justice, I mean not for his coaching abilities but so awesome son could have played LCC..

I agree that it was a hard fought game. However, the game should have went to ER. They made an announcement at the beginning of the game concerning sportsmanship like conduct and that any violation no matter how minor or serious would not be accepted from anyone -- player, coach, fan, etc. With less than a few ticks on the clock a whistle blows against LCC -- game tied. LCC coach comes across the the floor gets in the ref's face -- tells him what he wants him to know, turns around, and goes back to the ref and finishes the argument. The ref should have T'd him up. The game should have went to ER at least by 1.

A ref is going to T a coach that late in the game. Never! Come on! Players decide games.

Anna Craft should have kept Justice as coach. But instead she goes out and spends a fortune on a coach who will not get any better results than Justice did.

So with a close game the coach can do what ever they want? Attention all coaches cuss, flip off, trip the other teams players, run across the court naked, do what you want because the players decide the game not the officials. Makes a lot of sense to me.

Where you there? I was..he never cursed...antimated yes....ref put his whistle into his mouth he turned and walked away. Could it have warranted a T? Yes , from an inexperienced ref.

No one said that coaches can do whatever they want!!!! On this particular night Hammonds was like ukisn1 said, antimated, cursing no ......and refs are not there to decide the games, the players from each team, with either good play or bad play decide who wins!!!!!

So are you saying the reason you all beat us last year is because we played at East ridge????? I personaly think you all were better than us last year, and if we played tomorrow night you might beat us, and sure playing at home in front of the home crowd helps, but the bottom line is we won this time, the refs didnt help us win, cody gregory, koree stewart, logan johnson, matt boggs, brian roark, and the bench players is why we won!!!!!

If the LCC players had made their free throws, the game would have not went onto overtime. LCC would have one by 10 points. As for the refereeing not calling a "T", it was a good peice of refereeing. The ref gave a warning by putting his whistle in his mouth and then came over and told an assisstant coach to tell the head coach to cool it. As for the head coach, he is a better coach and more valuable employee than Coach Justice. coach justice was a Homebound teacher at LCC, coach Hammonds is an assisstant principal who is at school everyday doing his job. Both are good coaches, i give the edge to Coach hammonds who has taken a team to saturday morning semi-finals of the state tournament. Look out for the cougars... they will be good this year and only have one senior so they will be tough next year as well.

Considering that Justice has 3 region titles sort of makes Saturday morning semifinals a moot point.
They are both good coaches but more valuable employee just because he shows up to work everyday. Showing up and working are two different things.
Either way you look at both jobs were created for the basketball coaches so I doubt either job is more important than the other.
I will agree on one thing LCC will be very good the next two years and should contend for a region title both years. And with the young kids coming up should be competing for at least the next 5 years.

Ask Coach Justice? He hardly complained any during the game. If 15th region teams got these kind of calls in the 14th region, nobody would complain other than the ones that complain about everything including their own region.
