Cowboy vs Saints -Interception?
#1
The Cowboys suffered a major blow late in the fourth quarter after the Saints got the ball back when Cowboys receiver Roy Williams' 47-yard catch and run ended when Malcolm Jenkins stripped him at the New Orleans 11 and recovered the fumble.
Or did he? Goofy Joe Buck never mentioned it the cowboys never argued the call , still it looked to me that the ball did hit the ground when Jenkins looked as though he had it. Haven't been able to find the replay yet but looking. Just wondered if anyone else saw it?

Watched that play several times on TiVo. Malcom Jenkins fell to the ground on his back with the ball against his stomach. The ball was never close to the ground if I recall correctly.

Anyone notice the horrible holding non call on Witten on the 60 yard TD run by Dallas?

Right at the very end you see the ball bouncing up returning form the turf then he pulls it back up. Williams leg raises just in time to see it.
At the very least Cowboys should have protested the call..even if they didn't see what I saw. It was clearly close enough & a big enough of a game changer to request a review.

It's a Fumble, not an interception!

I could not get teh link to ever pull up the video. I remember it the same as midee1, I do not recall the ball ever hitting the ground. Unless I am missing something, It does not matter if it hit the ground either. It's a fumble! Once the ball is dislodged from the hands of Williams, it's a free ball. Once it's free, possession takes place once the ball is secured. So, once the ball came out of Williams hands, its free to roll all over the ground. That's why it would not have been reviewed.

This isn't even arguable.
That's a fumble and even if the Saints defender dribbled like a basketball before he started running it's still a fumble.

Agreed! This thread was listed as "Interception". If it was an interception, the ball hitting the ground would be correct. This was a fumble, thus, no point in further discussion.

^I guess the argument is that he had it ripped from his hands before it was officially caught.....
but there's no way.
He ran for 20 yds
