BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:Bell will have to play Central now JUST to win Region. If they do that then they will have to face PT or Ft Campbell for State Semi. IMO being in 3A WEST is going to be harder than 4A. Playing for Region in 4A was either KC or LC. Now its Louisville Central a much harder team.

your right, they way it is now it, Tilman or Central, no one else has come close, the east will be dog fight like always, but now its ,PCC,SC,Mason,Breahitt,Russell, Belfry, and LC, 4 from same district..

People that get so mad that Bell Co doesnt play Male, Trinity, Ryle, Highlands every year. Look at 2 teams playing for a State Championship in Hazard and Belfry. They didnt have to play those type of teams to make it.

I know the ones who say this the most are Bell haters anyways.

Cant you be positive one time about Bell co or any other mountain team.

Both Belfry and Hazard would benefit from stepping out of the mountains as well.

Thats a pretty good schedule, and another 10-0 season for Bell.

Why do you get on here and rip mountain teams, in particular, Bell Co.?
I know your a highlands fan which means you'll never meet Bell again unless a regular season game is scheduled which is never going to happen obviously for more than one reason.

Bell schedule a SMART schedule. They scheduled teams who are relatively close and are good rival games for the school. In the economic situation we are in, it was the right thing to do. I'm sure highlands is playing somebody like Colerain or Cincy St. X next year which is fine, but how are you going to ask Bell Co. to get a schedule like highlands when highlands gets games like that. You and i both know for a fact that no Ohio team that is good or any team out of lville is going to sign a home/away contract with Bell because they have nothing to gain and the travel is far away.

Now, for Bells schedule, I like what Dudley did for the schedule next year. In particular, playing all of the old time rivals. Corbin is a district game now which bodes well for both schools, because the politics and board members cant stop it from happening or do anything about it from either school.

I love the Bell/Whitley game every year. Its a big gate and these two schools go way back. Even though Bell has had the Better of Whitley the last few years, That use to be a head knocking close game every year.

Bell and Mboro should have never stopped playing, I applaud the new Mboro coach on scheduling Bell. You just cant beat a city/county game at the gate, I wish Corbin and Whitley would learn that.

Harlan County is a no brainer. HC is no push over and its right next door to Bell County. small travel and good game equals a lot of money for these school in a game where two good teams will play.

I also hope Bell gets Henry clay in that bowl game next year. I would assume they will be the best team in Lex next year and be a good tough challenge to start the season off.

The only thing i see as a bad thing for bell is four away games to start the season, but they should be able to overcome it.

Goodluck next season bobcats:Thumbs:

they are in the west region right ...if they are it will most likly be belfry an bell for the next 3 years n the championship game ..

BellCoBobcats09 Wrote:1 good thing is neither Central and PT have a defense like Boyle Co at stopping the run. Thats what Bell Co likes to do the most.

Be careful what you wish for.

The Lou. Central teams from a couple years ago had the guns to shut down a running game, this year's edition may or may not, but Central (much like several other current 3A teams) is very young. This year is an especially down year year in 3A, but with the young talent on the better programs, the class was already well on track to being very, very competitive over the next couple years, with or without Bell.
#45
in agree with you but in my eyes that is who it will be the next 3 years cause belfry has alot of young talent an is very excited about them for the next 2 3 years an bell is always good like belfry an lou central an PT
#46

Im not in no way downing Central. Boyle Co's rush D is one of the best I have ever seen in high school football.

We had Morristown West scheduled a few years back in the City/County Bowl but their was some reason MW couldnt do it.

oh i didnt know that ..what about fort cambell
#53
I can't believe that Knox Central will schedule Bell Co. and NOT Harlan Co. Come on Knox! It would be a great game, great gate, and we are too close of neighbors for this not to happen.

Bell's schedule looks good.
#54
Talking with a coach at Bell, he said that they made close to $25,000 the past two games. With next year regular season schedule look to make close to $50,000 on ticket sales/bowl payout

Not a hater at all....but those teams don't get on message boards and make statements ,"Bell is the best team in 5 classes." If you want that title.. then play the best....and those are the best until you beat them.

Speaking of PLAYING.......recently I heard that the MIDDLESBORO game may not happen next year!

Have you heard that Highlands is not interested in playing Bell in a home/away series? I think the game might happen if they agree to that.

Heard that the NEW COACH was canceling this game ASAP

listen coach Hilton does not have to prove anything anymore, next year he will be the all time winningest coach in KY high school football.. When he was young we played the highland teams and the lexington teams.. no matter what kind of scheldule were gonna have, by gosh Dudley Hilton knows what he is doing.. yea we lost 9 of 11 starters on the defensive side but next year we will be right there in the mixed competing for a state title..
