What is the best school that you think provided you hospitality while visiting for an away game? Lexington Catholic, Danville, and Male rank high in my book.

Ashland was pretty nice, but we didn't want to hang around after the experiencing the worst officiating of our lives.

Hospitality in the sense of professionally accomadating the team and fans while visiting their facility before, during, and after the game. At SWHS the Staff, Boosters, and Student body adhere to Mutual Respect and try to be most helpful to those visiting our campus. I know that we have incurred the opposite. We hope to have visitig teams enjoy their visit and hopefully they want to re-schedule. We do play hard at home and try to send you home with a spirit of good sportsmanship and fair play win or lose.

Indeed...Ashland was great....Catered bar-B-que after the game for the team....lockeroom was fairly nice and cleen....I believe Fairview was the first varsity game i experienced as a player.

I have to toot my own horn here... I believe Eastridge during the Coal Bowl was very hospitable. We had a catered turkey pre-game dinner for everyone of the teams and officials and coaches, we provided the teams with excellent lockerroom facilities. But that is me saying that about my own school. I think the most Hospitable school we played at was Shelby Valley, just for the pure fact that their lockerrooms were so nice and clean.

In MY OWN experiences; Belfry, Breathitt County, and Corbin have always seemed to be nice. Belfry especially, honestly.

There's just something about walking in the CAM and hearing Phil Collins, "In The Air Tonight" playing.

A place that I always enjoy going on the road to is Johnson Central. Out of 100, I'd give it a 95. If it wasn't for the loud, unnecessary music blaring the entire game it would get a 100 from me. To me it takes away from the good football being played on the field. Definitely a distraction from a fans point of view. But other than that, it's a great football atmosphere with great fans, nice facilities, and top notch competition.

Hate to toot our own horn, but the pigskin classic is very hospitable for visiting teams. The facilities aren’t great but the overall experience is.

Belfry is also a good place to visit. Just overall amazing and a pretty place to play.

Kind of different topic. I thought you wanted a bit of an intimidating atmosphere. I mean it’s okay to be hospitable but, by the same token you want the opposition to know they are in for a bad night.

I hated Belfry. The twisting, winding roads to get there. The field was a swamp. The locker rooms where so small you the whole team couldn't fit in it. I didn't like Vipperman at all.

Pikeville was by far the nicest, cleanest, classiest place I ever played at. It was not even close. That was almost 30 years ago, which is about how old this thread is.

I think everyone is referring to the CAM on this post. The CAM is State of the art for Kentucky High School Football in my opinion. Definitely is as far as the mountains are concerned.

But since you brought up Vipperman, I have to agree Westside, it wasnt very visitor friendly, Lol.

Anyone inside the three significant populations (Jefferson, Fayette, and Kenton), owes it to themselves to take the B.A.M. Tour:

Belfry

Ashland

Mayfield

Absolutely worth the time and money.

Inside the three significant populations:

Covington Catholic (Kenton); unique feel and locale for the games.

F. Douglas (Fayette); the newness of the success makes for a charged atmosphere.

Manual; you just cannot top the experience of Manual Stadium.

Male; very northern OH, western PA feel.

Trinity; what money can buy at the high school level; "the" program in KY.

Because I like the Belfry fans on here too much' I won’t mention a certain Vipperman Experience in the 80’s. :Thumbs::lmao:

A lot of places mentioned I have enjoyed. One that I don’t think has been mentioned but I personally liked was Fleming Co, this year and previous years I’ve been there. Everyone I had talked to was pretty nice and the facility was always clean.

As a fan, I enjoy going to Louisville Central. They have always treated us well when we go to watch a game. I love their band and dance team! It's been a few years since I've been to Admiral Stadium, but that was a good experience as well.

Highlands. Guys from our team were spit on and someone threw a brick through our bus window as we pulled out of the lot. Good times. 🤣

As a fan, I enjoy going to Louisville Central. They have always treated us well when we go to watch a game. I love their band and dance team! It's been a few years since I've been to Admiral Stadium, but that was a good experience as well.

Louisville Central is the worse place I've been and it had nothing to do with the coaches, players, or the fans AT the game.

It was after the game was over. After our players left the locker room to go to the bus, you'd think they were walking through the heart of Crenshaw. Grown ass men absolutely talked to our players like they were dogs. And when I say men, I mean men. Some looked in their 40's. And when some parents intervened they were ready to fight. And some of the stuff I heard said to our cheerleaders, again by the same grown men, was downright vulgar. I guess winning the game wasn't enough.

That group of thugs was an embarrassment to the school, football program, and community. No wonder they were standing outside the fence. They probably had been banned from games long ago.

I don't know if it was because it was Belfry and we'd had met them so much in recent past but it was the worst I'd ever seen a group of kids and a fanbase treated AFTER a game. I say "AFTER" because while at the game, those fans were great. And the coaching staff and concession workers were some of the best, and the game atmosphere was awesome. Not so much after. I'd hate to think what would have happened if we'd won.

I will say Walton-Verona is a very hospitable place to play.

Beechwood is usually a good experience and they are always good to us when they travel down here as well from what I've seen.
