Boyle County 25 Bell County 21

yea, that'll show 'em...NOT! If that happens a fan should no doubtedly be escorted out of the stadium. Look in any other level of play, if a fan hit a player they would have to leave. Also, at every other level of football there is a reason that air horns are illegal, they mess with the integrity of the game.

Should have seen what East Jessamine did....they come to Boyle's new $750,000 turf field with a sledgehammer. They pull the padding off the new goal post and start taking whacks at it. Let's just say it was removed from the idiot swinging it and was used as motivation for the second meeting.

Why was Devon Cox not used more on offense last night? The last half of the season, I think he's been the better of the two backs. He barely had any carries at all last night...especially in the first half.

Were they saving him for defense?

I wondered the same thing. I know it seemed like we passed the ball more in the beginning but after seeing the stats we did a lot of running as well. At least he'll be fresh next week.

How many fumbles does Cox have? I haven't seen many by Cox, if any. Hale carries it more like a loaf of bread than anyone on the team, IMO.

I think it had more to do with playcalling than anything else. Letting the seniors Dawson, Cook and Hale carry the load.

The press box thing is pretty sad as well.

WOW! I guess we all have our idiot fans but they should not be allowed that close to the playing field.

But that doesn't explain why they suddenly stopped using him last night. They used him a lot the week before.

He literally wasn't even in the game for more than about 5 plays tops in the first half.

They were allowed to set up a tent right against the endzone and tailgate.the worst part was they caught the propane tank on fire and rolled it out into the endzone.while the teams were warming up.

In the film clip I saw on WKYT online, they looked like kids.

Then again the older I get the more people look like kids.

No they were adults.there might have been some kids with them, but we walked right by the tent on the way in.
If I'm reading stats correctly, Boyle ran 62 Offensive Plays and Bell County ran only 42. That was a big factor. Ball Control by the Rebels when they did get the pigskin was a huge factor.

Boyle stats showed the Bobcats with only 78 yards on 19 rushes. When that is your bread and butter, it really hurts you getting anything consitently going.

While we are complaining about the Bell fans and how close they were to the field, I have somewhat of the opposite opinion. I wish all high school games were like this. Great teams, great coaching, great games and great fan support. Nothing stopping the visiting team from taking a bunch of fans and crowding out the other side. Congrats to Bell for a big home crowd. Danville needs to take lessons in fan support.

You have got to be kidding, the fans need to be kept away from the edge of the field,by at least 10 yds.so no one gets hurt,or trys to interfear with the game,or throws a punch at a player.

Well, where to start.

1) placing unruly fans where they can make contact with actual players is an invitation to disaster. It almost happened when the Boyle punter chased the errant snap out of the end zone into the crowd and the one fan practically rides the Rebel player back onto the playing field. The wrong place and time and it would be a riot. Sorry, that's not fan support that's bush league rednecks. (BTW, I'm not indicting the entire Bell fan base. Almost everyone I've spoken to on here are classy people who have responded well to the tough loss last night. But like any program there are problem fans and putting them that close to other players is a recipe for problems)

2) the air horns are not about home field advantage. The rule book I believe states clearly that artificial noise like that is prohibited. It's one thing to hear them go off 30 yards or more away in a stands that is to your side. It's another to be within 15 or 20 yards directly in front of you and cause the lines to jump and have a penalty called. That one's on the administration and the officials.

Sorry Rock fan but those actions above are not worthy of the great program and product Bell puts on the field. That's what bothers anyone about it. A program as good as theirs doesn't need that kind of behavior to go unchecked.
just to shut everyone up,like I said before, until Bell Co. plays a tough schedule-win or lose-they will never be ready for the the playoffs.....Boyle Co. showed that..................win or lose ,Boyle will have a very hard schedule next yr.and that should help them in playoffs
Boyle Co.-Bell Co. era is over, unless Bell Co. wants to up there schedule and play real teams to get ready for playoffs..good-bye to Bell Co. good luck in 3 A...on to more important things like the state championship
 Way to go Rebels!

I am so happy for Jarred. His touchdown catch for Boyle's first TD was a huge lift for the team. I know he worked just as hard as the others, while out with a broken arm for over half the season.

IMO the officials did a great job last night. Calling a Boyle / Bell County game can not be easy, but they played not part in the outcome of this game. A+ goes out to the crew.

I know the refs can't see everything, but when the O takes a guy to the ground, thats a hold....YES the refs a great job

just saying he should hold ball better,u know they were wanting a strip...no disrespect to anyone...Cox should be a player to watch next yr.I've said that for 7 yrs. now...the kid is fast
Congrats Boyle Co.

Crowd noise is not addressed in the NFHS Rules Book.

Game administrators have provisions in the KHSAA Handbook to curtail noise interference.

Don't blame the zebras; their jurisdiction ends at the restraining lines.
just seen Boyles all area.......what ever

So what's wrong with it ??
Cox is the best running back on the team period...and should get the most carries. Must have some reason not to use him more. Also, why isn't the kid from FL getting some time. He's a stud as well.

Cook is the power back, definitely stronger than Cox. Against Bell, especially in that 2nd half, Coach French wanted to power it down their throats and wear them out. And it worked. Cox is better in the open field than Cook, but it's difficult to get any open field against Bell's defense.

Thanks..what's it pay? I was at the LexCath game and if you were too you obviously saw who the best Rebel running back was. Didn't take an expert to figure it out.

I edited my last post you quoted before I saw your reply. I didn't wanna sound like too much of a smart-alek

I think it depends alot on the other teams defense.Cook and Dawson up the middle will wear down a defense pretty good. And that's what they did in the 4th. With a little over 4 minutes to go in the 4th and 3 first downs drives by Cook, we was then able to take a knee and secured the victory!!!!! :Cheerlead:Cheerlead:Cheerlead Go Rebels!!!!!
