Some I agree with some I don't The Lexington Hearld's poll is supposed to be out Friday.
Where can I find the BGR rankings?

Mason County has Pawsatt, Setty & Gilbert. Who else?
11-21-2010, 08:26 PM
How is Elliot in this? Do they have some other good players besides Knipp?
11-21-2010, 08:29 PM
Prediction: Coach Booher and Holmes will move up the poll during the year and SV fans will say it is because of Robert and Greg Newsome lol

Trinity should be higher than 12

That's O.K.... They will have to earn it just like the football teams had to.
I look for Johnson Central to make some noise this year.

Black and Osborne should be their other two starters but Pawsat will be out for a while.

Never do....
Maybe we'll end up winning another All-A title and Sweet Sixteen again this year.
That way they will give us maybe one team in the top 25 next year.

East KY teams get no recognition whatsoever... but again, we don't have the powerhouse teams year in and year out other areas of the State do.

Wayne Co. not mentioned! WOW!:yikes:

Not saying they deserve to be there, because obviously they don't. But after the last couple years, it sure is weird not seeing Shelby Valley on this list.

Everybody is back for Wayne and more than likely they will be playing at Rupp in March.

Prediction: After winning the 2010 Sweet Sixteen title, Shelby Valley will take a huge step back this year. But this regression will have absolutely nothing to do with the loss of their coach, and everything to do with losing a very special senior class led by the state's Mr. Basketball.

I have heard that Pawsat was told by a dr that he shouldnt play all season. IMO, most of his big football scholly offers have been wiped out by these 2 injuries. I bet he plays regardless. I dont think they have the talent to beat Clark, but you have to knock them off in the Fieldhouse in March- not easy.

Sadly I don't believe any team from the 14th region will crack the top 25 rankings this year.

looks good but look to see JC up there soon.

Article in Lexington Hearld last week said he would be OK. Injury wasn't as bad as it was last year. No surgery required .May miss a few of the early games but will be playing this year.

Elliot county will climb in the polls fast. Not only is Knipp the most complete scorer in the state, but they have a true low post player for the first time in their runs at the 16th region. Jacob Ison has grown to 6'8", and along with a 6'7" SF in Knipp, Elliot will be very tough on the frontline.
Rowan may also make some noise this season with the Transfer of DJ Townsend, who avg. 20 ppg at Somerset last season. The Vikings returned already 4 starters and leading Scores.

Sadly, I would have to agree. If they do, it is only a fluke.

Elliott isn't deep enough to make any noise come March. I think they're overrated. But that's JMO. I think Rowan County is the best team in the 16th and will win the region.
