Kentucky's behind the likes of Utah, Hawaii, and Kansas?

Thought of that but also realized that this is based on 2010 only as they rate it.
I'm not sure KY is producing as much Division 1 Talent this year as maybe in the recent past. I'm also not sure our classes are as deep as they have been. Great teams at the top and then big fall offs in many of our 6 classes.
For example I think KY would have ranked MUCH higher in let's say 2002. That season schools were producing the likes of Brian Brohm, Michael Bush, Justin Haddix, Jacob Tamme, Brodie Overstreet and that's just off the top of my head.

Chris Barclay (Wake Forest all time leading rusher), Woodson, Blake Powers (IU's single season passing leader), Sergio Spencer. These guys were all standouts as juniors in 2001 and I can remember a few top notch guys leaving that year as well, the safety from owensboro comes to mind that ended up being a kick/punt returner in the NFL a few years ago. I can remember him taking a kickoff to the house for the jets.

 Just pointing out what might effect a rating from Rivals.

I know I was just in agreement with you that the 2000, 2001, and 2002 Kentucky talent could make an arguement for the most talented group in the state. This years group has two or three of those type players but not near as many.

There's not a huge gap between Trinity and the rest of the state. Most of the state? yes. All of the state? no. Theres definitely not a huge gap between Trinity and Highlands and it's rare that there has been. Also St. X is up there every year. If it said Trinity, Highlands and X, then I would agree.

Kentucky is a better football state than Missouri, Hawaii, Utah, Kansas,Arkansas, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, Colorado and Oregon. I watch games from all over the country and it is unbelievable the garbage rivals post most of the time about high school football.
