There were a couple games GC should've won this year this will not be one of them. Lyle and Marsh are good runningbacks. To get anywhere in the playoffs you need a passing game which we don't have. Knox will be just to big for Greenup to overcome.

Is that all you have? A record breaking win over the worst team we have had in years and the best team you have had in years? Not that that has anything to do with this thread. But he can break all the records he wants. Records obviously don't transfer into marks in win columns. We had a QB break state passing records back in 01 we still had a losing season.

After re-reading my posts it I sounded like I was taking away from the kids rushing accomplishments. And that's not the case at all. He really is a great runningback and I didn't mean it like that. I was referring to the people who when asked about the quality wins and record, they say well oh yeah our runningback is 2nd in the rankings and broken records. I just don't see him doing that great against Knox Central's defense. When Lawrence shut him down so well. I'm not one of those people who just jump in here and pick against a school without facts. I do some research. Knox has only gave up 103 points all season! And the most points Knox has gave up in a single game is 29 against Johnson Central. And let's face it GC is not Johnson Central.

After beginning 1-6, GCHS went 5-8 on the season while going 4-2 over their last 6 games. Their two losses during that stretch were by a point to Mason County (went for 2 in OT and failed to convert) and the Harrison County game.

well then gc don't even have to show up, cause you already have the game won on monday. gc has not played the way they are capable of playing all year long, if the stupid penalties and mistakes are down, you will be in a dogfight, a stupid mistake cost us the rowan county game, and we got beat on a 46 yd. Field goal with 5 seconds to play, there toughest game of the year, the line will wear you all down eventually, and nobody has stopped lyle from him getting his yards this season, they will play with a chip on their shoulder, as they want a rematch with rowan county, next season, may be in 2 weeks. lyle is ranked 2nd in the state in rushing, in all class's period.

Greenup is very good,,if they dont shoot themselves in the foot.
Lawrence County didnt stop them,,,they AVG'ed like 6 yards a carry,,,but turned the ball over,,,or made a stupid mistake... They can run the ball and control the clock,,,so dont expect a high scoring game....They take the entire play clock to run a play,,,,

I think Knox will win,,,but not as easy as people are making it sound,,,they have like 17 seniors,,,,and I have not seen them come together and play one game together...so their last game might be their best....
