#2
Highlands 35 Bowling Green 7
#3

#4
Highlands: 31
Bowling Green: 28
#5
Highlands-21
Bowling Green-17

Higlands will win 5a state in a battle against Bowling Green. This will not be an easy game at all IMO. Higlands pulls away in the 4th on the way to a 34-24 win.
#7
No one from district 8 Wink
#8
IMO its still highlands to lose
#9
bowlling green 20 highlands 17 no dissing highlands but i think if bg plays like they played trinty they can beat highlands but if they play like they did when they played warren central highlands will walk over them

Hopefully Highlands won't be playing their 4th string QB like Trinity had to play against Bowling Green. Highlands over John Hardin 42-6.
#11
4 string for trinty could be a starter any where in the state
#12
Highlands 42
John Hardin 14
#13
Highlands 35
John Hardin 7

No dissing Bowling Green, but if Highlands plays like they did against Trinity, they will win.

They should change it to the state championship in Johnson county cause Johnson central and highlands are the class of 5a this year

JC deserves a lot more love than it's getting in this thread. If they can get past the Birds (and the game is at Paintsville), I see the Eagles taking home the crown. For the Birds to beat JC, it's going to take their best and most complete effort of this year.

I hear JC has a very good team this year, but everybody on every board thinks Highlands is a lock to make it to Bowling Green and they just lost last week. I think they are definately beatable and I hope it's Johnson Central who proves it. If not, there are a few teams in Western Kentucky that I think will give them all they want.

winner of this game takes the title.

Johnson Central is the Warren Central of the East. They get no respect.

Hey at some point Highlands isn't going to make the state finals, who's to say it's not this year.

I like the way you think Charlie. Likewise for the Eagles, it will take their best effort as well to beat the Birds. I do believe however that JC still has two more games to win first.

Believe it ot not, 5A is wide open on both sides of Kentucky this year. I'm still going with Highlands in the east, but I'll readily admit that if there was a year for Johnson Central to pull the upset, this would be it. This team reminds me a little of the 2002 team that lost at Rockcastle.
Out west, I've got no idea. Sounds like a similar situation to the east. Whatever the case, I'll have a clearer idea after the first weekend of December.:eyeroll:

Not a word about Christian County who is 8-2?

I don't see it either, but it could happen.

Aug 21, 10 Warren Central at WKU 15 - 8 (W)
Aug 28, 10 Clarksville, TN at Stadium of Champions, Hopkinsville 26 - 13 (W) Sep 3, 10 Henderson County home 42 - 14 (W) Click
Sep 10, 10 Pleasure Ridge Park away 39 - 32 (W) Click
Sep 17, 10 Hopkinsville away 42 - 15 (W) Click
Sep 24, 10 Madisonville-North Hopkins home 27 - 24 (W) Click
Oct 1, 10 Owensboro away 21 - 0 (W) Click
Oct 8, 10 Ohio County home 71 - 7 (W) Click
Oct 22, 10 Oakland, TN home 8 - 35 (L) Click
Oct 29, 10 Boyle County away 33 - 49 (L)

Probably not but I thought I'd post their record for discussion. Very athletic team but Defense wasn't good enough to win a title probably.

Here's the Johnson Central Record:

Aug 20, 10 Boyle County home 29 - 36 (L) no
Aug 28, 10 Cooper home 43 - 19 (W) no
Sep 3, 10 Knox Central at Clay County 29 - 28 (W) overtime
Sep 10, 10 Sheldon Clark away 14 - 12 (W) no
Sep 17, 10 Bell County away 18 - 42 (L) no
Sep 24, 10 Breathitt County home 28 - 6 (W) no
Oct 8, 10 Ashland Blazer away 42 - 26 (W) no
Oct 15, 10 Woodford County away 61 - 36 (W) no
Oct 22, 10 Montgomery County home 56 - 20 (W) no
Oct 29, 10 Belfry home 42 - 7 (W) no

Toughest part of their schedule was earlier and that's where they struggled the most. Still, they've been close before and maybe this is their year.

Well my crystal ball says:
John Hardin 21
Johnson Central 20
