Which Football Field Has The Best Atmosphere?
10-28-2010, 12:47 PM
Raceland- One end of the field is grills cooking burgers and dogs, other side you have fire engine blaring after every score, home bleachers always full regardless of the opponent, big games you have rows of people lining the track around the end zones
Ashland- Fun to play in. Horseshoe shaped stadium, what I imagine what a good small college atmoshere is like; band always playing.
Pikeville was a nice atmosphere
Collins is a great atmosphere in big games (vs. Shelby Co. and their first game) but otherwise not too memorable.
Any rivalry game regardless of the venue.

Ashland has to make the list. Really neat place. Everything is right on top of you. Very loud and has a ton of tradition and History.
Corbin. Always 1 of the better fields in the state and like Ashland lots of tradition and History. Always fun to have a game their and never loose as well so it is like the home away from home.:ChairHit:
Of course Bell County. Nothing like Friday nights in November on Log Mountain!!!
Corbin. Always 1 of the better fields in the state and like Ashland lots of tradition and History. Always fun to have a game their and never loose as well so it is like the home away from home.:ChairHit:

Corbins field seems to be getting run down here of late, but I can remember when it was nice!

Bell Co doesnt even use music while the players warmup.
Johnson Central has a pretty cool atmosphere with everything they do before and during the games.

Why no music? Players choice or coaches preference?

Harlan County has developed a pretty nice atmosphere! Of course winning helps! There was a story in last weekends Harlan Daily that explains the excitement in Harlan County.

Ashland has a great atmosphere, it is very intimidating to play them there. Really love Belfry's old and new stadiums, both of those had a great atmosphere. Also, of course, I love Perry's atmosphere, stands on one side, tailgating on the other.
