As far as teams go Raceland is the best coached team in the area. They do more with less talent than anybody right now. TJ should be the area coach of the year for going 6-4 with this team.
This is the most stupidest comment I have ever heard!!! To say that Raceland has less talent than anybody.
Farley is the 8th ranked overall QB in the state ahead of ALL area teams.
Craft is ranked #1 in all the state for receiving.
Raceland is ranked 8th in the state over all for passing. Russell is no where to be seen on any list...
If it is because of Coach Maynard, then I am glad to have my son playing for him.
Wouldn't you let your son play for him???????!!!! If you would let him play for him, I know you could never wear ORANGE RIGHT!!!!
TJ should be Coach of the Year,, winning with one of the youngest teams in the area,,, but dont worry I wont bring up facts,, dont want to be blowing it out of proportion for ya....... Love ya FBALL!!!!! Mean it!!!

Not all teams report stats. And do those stats have to do with the fact that we throw more than almost everyone? More attempts equals more yards.. I don't know what stats you were looking at so I can't be more specific.

KHSAA standings for 2010 all schools combined. It is on their webpage.

That's what I thought. That site only ranks by net yards passing average. Basing stats off of that isn't all that accurate.

That would be the most stupid post you ever read not heard.
I also didn't say Raceland had less talent than anybody. I said TJ gets the most out of the least amount of talent. That was a compliment.
You know we are good friends and yes I would let my sons play for him in a heartbeat. Only thing is we live in Russell, he goes to Russell and likes it there. I'd let him play for Ivan in a heartbeat too.
The facts are Russell and Raceland are both really young and slightly down this year. Both should be better next year. Raceland won the other night because of conditioning and they made more plays in a very entertaining and evenly matched game. They deserved it. I live in Russell and that is where my kids go to school.
Those are facts. And I don't need multiple ! to state them.
Love ya too.

Please stop the love fest you two. I think Tj is a miracle worker with what he has gotten out of this young team. He has been more patient than i originally thought he would....thats for sure.

Hush before I give you a need for Annie Sullivan.

I want to see this game when we both have ball busting teams. I see both teams being really good in 2to3 years.

I hope they don't play this game. It hurts GC more than it helps. If GC wins it's because they're a bigger school and they run the score up(not because they're the better team). But if the Rams win it's because GC is down right awful and shouldn't step on the field. So this is a no win situation for GC. About the GATE? Who cares about the Gate because we have to split the money with other sports anyways. So honestly football don't make that much from this game. Also Copley problaly looked at the transfer situation also. If we don't play this game are kids can't just transfer and beat us. I hope it's true. My question is why didn't the Rams play Russell during Gross and Clark era???? Could the Rams have been scared???:devilflam It would have been a big money maker!!!!! Just how the Rams filled the stands at the Russell ballgame last friday!!!!:lmao:

I got to the game late but I've got to admit it
it wasn't as packed over there as I thought it would be.
Between 2002-2008 I don't think Raceland would have won a game.
I don't believe either side was afraid to play the other. It's just a really bitter rivalry between the two.
Alot of Raceland fans hate the little brother tag but they seem to relish it too. No matter if they win or lose there is still some sort of chip on the shoulder. It's really just annoying.
Greenup fans still can't stop fighting with each other. You still have the South Shore, Wurtland and Greenup factions. They really don't need rivals.
Alot of Russell fans get caught up in all of the success they have had over the years. They tend to forget that every school has years when the talent just isn't there or it is just young. They think they are destined to be good just because they are Russell.
I'm not really sure which group is the most out of whack. You could make a case for any of the three. But it makes good theater and that is why these games should be played.

I think we should have one big team with all three schools players. I know it would be a lot of drama but that would be one heck of a team. We could be competetive at any level. That is just a thought don't be to hard on me, because I know it could never happen.

I think we could have beat you the year you won the state championship. If i remember correctly ......We beat the only team that beat you that year. Regardless i would have like to seen it.

I would play for the "Actual Devil" before I played for the red devils. And i would move off the planet if I has to combine with greenup.

You didn't play Boyd County in '05. So there is no way you could have beat the team that beat Russell that year. The Rams did play Ashland that year and got beat bad then Russell beat the Tomcats the following week. So I highly doubt that the '05 Rams could have beat the '05champs.

my bad.....i meant the 06 team that went to the finals.

You wouldn't have come close to the 06 team. They were better than 05.

We beat the ashland team that handeled the Evils that year. Why wouldn't we have come close?
10-28-2010, 02:40 PM
You guys had Ashland's number there for a few years in a row. I can't explain that. Neither of us can prove any of this but I don't think the ams would have been anywhere close to Russell in 06.
10-28-2010, 02:47 PM
i think you are forgetting something.......We rule the entire high school football universe!!
10-28-2010, 03:56 PM
Talking about '06. That year the Rams just beat the lonely Musketeers by 6-8points while the Red Devils hammered us by 40 plus points. Also you all had former GC player Derrick Beach(which counted for 40-50% of your offense that year). I'm not saying that the Rams haven't had good teams but from '02 to '06 there wasn't to many teams that could hang with Russell. About the Ashland vs Russell game in '06. Russell got ripped bad. I don't like to see anybody get cheated. I believe the '06 team was a better team than the '05 team.

Who cares who would have won. U football people kill me. We dont even play football in this state unless your in the city of Louisville or up in Northern KY. If you think your good just cross the river and see what real football looks like. We play it but they live it. Bring on basketball season!!
