well if you guys lose and Belfry beats JC then there champs,but you see those two little words i used(IF)i dont if yor real team shows up and you get Ray back it should not be a problem

We will know 10/29 how this thing works out. Prior to the games, all the if's are possible.
I,ve heard that Avery will not play this Friday, but unfortunately those injuries are part of the game and the team must adjust to whatever circumstances faces them.
I believe the Cards will prevail, for they will have KP Skyles, BJ Jarrell, Kelly Hays, and Mikie Moore could be moved to the backfield. Thus, the Cards should do just fine.
The aspect that concerns me the most is, will they be up for the game? The Pike Central game, especially the first quarter, has to give one pause, for the Cards were not ready to play, IMHO. They gave up 16 very quickly.
But the fourth quarter, they showed the "real" Sheldon Clark! So We will see 10/29. Good Luck, Cards!

This is one of games I would hate...
On one side I think I'll be rooting for Pikeville...hoping that Pike Central gets to at the very least host a playoff game.
However I predict Sheldon Clark will win with or without Mr. Avery Ray.

PIKEVILLE ISN'T the team they use to be.Pikeville in the late 80's and 90-94 was awesome, wow what a difference time makes.
SC has an awesome player in #40,he always disturbes the offensive line.SC also shut out the big high power offensive(BELFRY) in the 2nd half,if PIKEVILLE lays down SC WILL walk all over them.
However SC has a very big weakness in the corners,if PIKEVILLE exploits that who knows what happens.

I don't think anyone is bashing anyone. Facts are facts, and maybe you haven't noticed that other schools have a few more trophies now than in the past. "My, how times have changed.":biggrin:

I would have to give the nod to the Cards, for their lackluster performance the first half against Pike Central, I think, should fire them up! Unfortunately I believe over confidence crept in after the great win over Belfry, but obviously I'm not sure that was the case.
On another note, I noticed in another thread where a Pike Central fan paid a great compliment on behalf of a couple of Sheldon Clark's players namely, Taylor Chapman and KP Skyles, for their outstanding play. There's nothing better than getting your competition to pay you a compliment for excelling on the field.

Sheldon Clark has a great program and coaching staff: but the Pikeville Panthers has a lot going for it as well, Go Panthers ! Give it your best!!

Now Pilot let's not go comparing the recent success of these two programs. Pikeville will continue to win district championships year after year because their district is not competitive. BTW, Belfry still will most likely win another district championship this year if your Panthers defeat SC. Also, 10 years in a row of Pirate domination over Pikeville, with only two of the ten games close, demands a little respect still for Belfry.

I have respect for Belfry, but their fans have gotten way too arrogant and obnoxious.

I didn't mean to say anything bad, I have nothing but respect for PANTHER @Pirate football.I was just saying in the late 80's early 90's panther football was on top.They could've played against anyone and would've won.I wasn't saying anthing about academics just football.I like to see PIKEVILLE get like they use to be and I hope they beat SC but I really don't think so.

The Panthers are certainly the Kings of the 8th District. Really tough but they seem to get the prize every year. Out of District regular season games seem to be the proverbial horse of a different color. Not to worry faithful,as long as you stay where you are in the 8th you will be fine. The olden days may be hard to bring back in A football. The big get bigger and the small get smaller.
